  • Patent number: 4745795
Abstract: Apparatus for measuring gases dissolved in water using a gas exchanger to which the water to be tested can be supplied via a water feed line and a carrier gas can be supplied via a gas feed line, and wherein in addition to a water drainage line for degassed water, a gas drainage line for washed-out gas leads away from the gas exchanger, the gas drainage line communicating via a gas dryer with analysis and measuring instruments. The gas exchanger is a packed column disposed in an upright position, to which the water feed line and the gas drainage line are connected at the top and the gas feed line and the water drainage line are connected at the bottom. The water drainage line communicates with a collecting container. Communicating with the analysis and measuring instruments is a second branch of the gas drainage line for the gas no longer required, the second branch communicating with the collecting container.

  • Patent number: 4720306
Abstract: Method for cleaning vessels and in particular, steam generators, having deposits which are dissolved chemically and removed mechanically. The copper compounds present in the deposits are dissolved chemically and subsequently, loose deposits and liquids are removed mechanically. Encrustations still remaining are softened chemically and finally, the loosened deposits as well as the remaining chemicals are flushed out.

  • Patent number: 4204974
Abstract: Method and apparatus for encapsulating radioactive plastic wastes, particularly radioactively contaminated ion exchange filter material containing water, in bituminous solidification substances, by drying the radioactive waste separate and apart from the bituminous substance, introducing regulated amounts of dry radioactive waste into the bituminous substance and kneading the mixture at a temperature of 120.degree. C. or lower to encapsulate the dry radioactive waste by the mechanical action of the kneading, and pouring the kneaded, encapsulated radioactive plastic waste into a container. Undesired decomposition with discharge of pollutants into the atmosphere are avoided.
