  • Patent number: 6499611
Abstract: The invention relates to a mobile harbor crane for normal and heavy load operation, having an undercarriage and a superstructure mounted thereon. A tower is fastened on the superstructure and a jib which pivotable about a horizontal axis is arranged on a front side of the tower. During a normal mode of operation, the jib is held pivotably on the superstructure by a luffing cylinder coupled to the jib and to the tower and the load lifted and lowered via a hoisting cable guided to the jib head and having a snatch block suspended on it. For a heavy load operating load, the mobile harbor crane further includes a heavy load lifting winch with a heavy load lifting cable which is guided over a deflecting roller fastened to the jib and further guided to a roller assembly of a heavy load snatch block arranged releasably on the jib head.

  • Patent number: 6021718
Abstract: A two-axle undercarriage for track-bound transport systems carrying freight and passenger traffic, especially for inseparable train units, is divided into two parts, each part housing a wheel set. The two undercarriage frame halves are connected to each other in an adjustably articulated fashion on the plane of travel and are axially movable relative to each other to a limited extent in the direction of travel. To provide a tensilely-strong connection of two adjacent car bodies of the track-bound transport system, a connecting rod is used that permits adjustment of the undercarriage frame halves. The connecting rod is arranged between the adjacent car bodies so that cardanic movement is permitted between each of the two adjacent car bodies so that cardanic movement is permitted between each of the two adjacent car bodies and the connecting rod.

  • Patent number: 5931617
Abstract: The invention is directed to a load securing device for standardized transport vessels, such as containers, interchangeable containers or the like, on loading surfaces by securing pins which are swivelable upward from a rest position under the loading surface around a horizontal swiveling axle arranged below the latter into their vertical working position and which are lockable in this position so as to be retained in openings in the corner regions of the transported goods. For this purpose, a swivel bearing plate is arranged in the manner of a one-armed lever between securing pins and the swivel axle so as to be mounted thereon, the securing pins being fastened to the swivel bearing plate at a distance laterally from the swivel axle.

  • Patent number: 5927916
Abstract: A locking device for standardized transport vessels, such as containers, interchangeable containers or the like, on loading surfaces of transporting devices includes clamping pins which are at least partially movable upward out of the loading surface from their rest positions below the loading surface into vertical working positions and which are lockable in this position by their clamping pin heads, which are provided at their free ends, in openings in the corner regions of the transport vessels. For this purpose, every clamping pin is part of a vertically acting piston-cylinder unit which is fastened below the loading surface to the frame of the transporting device. The vertical stroke of every piston-cylinder unit corresponds to the outward path traveled by the clamping pin with the clamping pin head upward out of the loading surface. The clamping pin head is designed as a hammer head, and a motor acts at the circumference of the clamping pin.

  • Patent number: 5662059
Abstract: A device for covering a ship's hatch by a loading chute which can be placed on the edge of the hatch during loading and unloading of a pallet container which is attached to a load suspension apparatus. The loading chute can be automatically opened and closed as a function of the position of the pallet container. The upper opening of the chute can be covered, when the rain-protected pallet container is in the loading shaft or below it, by an umbrella-like shield which is arranged on the load suspension apparatus above the pallet container. A rolling gate in one end position closes the loading opening and after covering of the upper opening of the loading chute by the shield, can be moved into another end position which flees the loading opening. The opening and closing movements of the rolling gate are controlled by contact-less transmitters which detect the position of the pallet container in the chute.

  • Patent number: 5636959
Abstract: Apparatus for covering a ship's hatch or similar opening that is exposed to weather or environmental conditions, whereby the opening is closable by means of a cover that is at least partially removable. The cover safeguards against water penetration when loading and unloading during bad weather and allows for dry loading and unloading. By sealingly placing a frame-like housing around the edge of the opening, a shaft open on one lateral boundary is formed within the frame housing. The shaft is closable from above by means of overlapping covers, which open automatically when pressed upon by a body suspended on a loading or unloading crane or close automatically when the body is removed.
