  • Patent number: 5386287
Abstract: Device for the automatic evaluation of a plurality of test sample components, in particular within the field of water and sewage water analysis, comprising at least one chemical sensor into which the test sample component(s) is/are placed, and comprising a measuring device to determine the measurable variables which are characteristic for the test sample component(s), characterized in that each sensor is provided with a coding region for information regarding the measurable variable to be determined, and in that a reading device, for the evaluation of the coding region, and a monitoring device, which is connected to the reading device and the measuring device, are provided, wherein the monitoring device adapts the measuring device to the measurable variable to be determined on the basis of the reading supplied by the reading device.

  • Patent number: 5159912
Abstract: A method of electronic engine control for a motor vehicle includes sensing an ignition voltage of a final ignition stage, effecting a performance check of the final ignition stage in response to a control signal generated in response to sensing the ignition voltage of a final ignition stage, and providing an error flag if the control signal deviates from a predetermined control signal. An apparatus for performing the foregoing method comprises an electric control circuit that includes a sensor for detecting the ignition voltage, and control means that effects a performance check in response to a sensor output signal and emits the error flag in response to an error control signal.

  • Patent number: 4940034
Abstract: The invention is directed to a control circuit for controlling the speed of an electric fuel pump for an internal combustion engine having fuel injection and includes a speed limit-value comparator for controlling the speed or delivery rate of the fuel pump to a value below the minimum speed or delivery rate for a speed of the engine above a specific predetermined limit speed which is impermissibly high. The minimum speed or minimum delivery rate is then the delivery rate which is required for at least building up the system pressure in the fuel injection system.
