  • Patent number: 7364433
Abstract: An electrical connecting apparatus has the following features: a current or data transmitter device which can be connected to at least one current-transmitting or pulse-transmitting source, is arranged in a transmitter housing and has contact elements. A current-receiving or data-receiving device which can be electrically connected to a load or consumer is arranged in a receiver housing and has contact elements. Current, pulses or data can be transferred between the contact elements, which are in the form of flat contacts with touching surfaces, by connecting the current or data transmitter device to the current-receiving or data-receiving device. A multiplicity of contact elements of at least one of the two devices are held next to one another in a holding body. The contact elements which are held in the holding body are elastically mounted. The contact elements rest on a pressing link on the side facing away from the contact elements of the other device.

  • Patent number: 7344380
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing an electrical connection of sub-assemblies and modules to a current supply device, which is provided with electric contact elements and magnetic bodies. According to said method, magnetic bodies of a consumer, which is provided with electric counter-contacts, are arranged opposite the magnetic bodies of the current supply device with opposing poles. In a first step, a mechanical connection is made using an approximate guide mechanism and in a second step, electrical contact is made between the contact elements and the counter-contacts using a precise guide mechanism in an automatic manner by means of the magnetic bodies of the current supply unit and the consumer.

A current receiving or data receiving device, which can be electrically connected to a load or a consumer is arranged in a receiver housing and has contact elements. A current, pulse or data transfer can be produced between the contact elements (which are in the form of flat contacts with touching surfaces) by connection of the current or data transmitter device to the current receiving or data receiving device. A large number of contact elements of at least one of the two devices are arranged alongside one another in a configuration in the form of an array. The contact elements which are inserted into the configuration in the form of an array are elastically mounted. The configuration in the form of an array rests on a pressing link.

  • Patent number: 6966781
Abstract: The electromechanical connector proposed has a switch and an actuator. The switch can be connected by means of contacts to a power supply and has switching magnets with encoded magnetic elements mounted on a carriage. It is fitted in a housing as an enclosed unit. The actuator has actuation magnets with encoded magnetic elements and can be connected to a consumer. The switch can be connected to the actuator, connecting these two devices causing the switching magnets to move, against a restraining force, from an inoperative position to an operating position. The electrical connection between the switch and the actuator is thus established by means of contacts. The ends of the switch and actuator facing each other are fitted with alignment devices designed so that electrical contact between the switch and the actuator can only be made when the contacts are in a particular position with respect to each other.

  • Patent number: 6821126
Abstract: An electromechanical connecting device comprises a current supply housing and a current tap housing, each with contact surfaces. The current supply housing is provided with a moving magnet carriage with current contacts. The magnet carriage on the current supply housing and on the current tap housing are both provided with magnets. A permanent magnet is arranged in the current supply housing on the side opposing the current tap housing. The current supply housing and the current tap housing may be forcibly connected and disconnected by a rotating device with a turning motion. The contact surfaces of the current supply housing and the current tap housing make contact earlier than the contact surfaces of the current supply housing and the magnet carriage on connection of the current supply housing and the current tap housing and on disconnection are in contact longer.

  • Patent number: 6231349
Abstract: An electromechanical connecting device can be connected to a switching device provided with switching magnets, arranged on a working carriage and connectable to a current source by means of current supply contacts, and can also be connected to a triggering device provided with triggering magnets and electrically connectable to a consumer. These switching magnets can be moved from a rest position to a working position against a restoring force, establishing a contact among pairs of contacts and thus an electric connection between the means of a special coding together with the triggering magnets arranged in the triggering device to generate particular magnetic fields for the switching process.

  • Patent number: 5921783
Abstract: The invention concerns an electromechanical connection device comprising a switching device which can be connected to a current source via power supply contacts and comprises switching magnets. A tripping device, provided with tripping magnets, can be connected to the switching device. Switching magnets are thus moved from a rest position, against a restraining force, into an operating position, the contact between pairs of contacts and hence the electrical connection between the switching device and the tripping device being established. The switching magnets and the tripping magnets are provided with a special code. The pairs of contacts are disposed at least approximately in a region of the housing between the center thereof and the switching magnets. An electrically conductive bridge is provided on the operating slide for the contact between the pairs of contacts and the power supply contacts.
