A plurality of guides on the assembly define respective generally vertical paths along which can travel respective elements on the door between an upper position corresponding to a closed position of the door and a lower open position with the door offset from the loading port. The door lies wholly with an outline of the door assembly in the lower open position. The baler door wherein the guides are generally vertical and horizontally flank the door. Each guide is formed of three pieces and forms a respective upper track and a lower track therebelow and the elements include respective upper and lower elements riding in the tracks. Each lower track is formed with a horizontally extending rest on which the respective lower element sits in the open position and with another horizontally extending rest on which the respective lower element sits in the closed position.

    Abstract: A paper comminuting device or similar device, such as a paper shredder, is composed of two dimensionally stable side components extending parallel to each other and a bottom and a rear wall connecting the side components, and a cutting mechanism housing releasably placed on the side components and the rear wall. The rear wall and the bottom of the base frame are manufactured from an initially single-piece, planar plate with a transversely extending bending groove between the areas of the bottom and the rear wall. When the base frame is assembled, the appropriately profiled side components are connected to the plate and hold the plate in an angular position of 90 degrees. The side components are connected through insertable connecting points to the cutting mechanism housing so as to form together with the cutting mechanism housing a rigid, box-like component, wherein the connecting points are arranged in at least two planes located at a vertical distance from each other.

    Abstract: A method of and a device for manually tying bales of cardboard, foils and similar used packaging materials produced in waste material presses predominantly of upright construction, i.e., with a vertically acting pressure ram. The method includes the steps of separating the free end of the binding wire from the point where it is secured to the front side of the base and pulling out a free length of wire slightly exceeding the length of the dimensions of bale height plus bale depth, grasping the binding wire extending in a vertical groove in the rear wall of the press by means of the hook-shaped free end of the pulling needle, pulling the loop of binding wire formed in this manner by means of the pulling needle through the groove in the bottom of the pressure ram into a position located in front of the finished bale, separating the wire loop in the pulled-out position, and swinging upwardly the remaining length of wire at the bottom and tying together the two free ends of the binding wire.

The support frame for the bag is placed together with the bag loosely on the lateral guide rails which can be pulled out. The guide rails have stop elements at the front thereof for locking a front transverse connection of the support frame on the guide rails against sliding out horizontally, on the one hand, and to make it impossible that an outwardly directed pressure acts from the bag which is being filled onto the front housing door.

    Abstract: A paper shredder includes a pair of cutting rollers and individual strippers mounted on support rods. The strippers extend essentially from the lower and upper outer sides of the cutting mechanism between the cutting disks to the respective roller body. The strippers preferably have crowned stripper portions. A stripper is arranged at the lower side of the cutting mechanism in each gap formed between two adjacent cutting disks by the comb-like engagement of a cutting disk of the opposite cutting roller. Individual auxiliary strippers engaging in every fourth to fifth cutting roller gap are arranged on the upper side of the cutting mechanism. The support rods for the strippers are arranged from the respective outer diameter of the cutting disks at a distance to form openings, wherein the distance is preferably two to ten times the width of the cutting roller gap.
