Abstract: The invention concerns a gas lens housing (20) for arc-welding or flame cutters with a non-melting electrode (4), in particular for T.I.G. welding. According to the invention, a torch member (1) comprises a housing (2) for accommodating an electrode holder (3) which optionally comprises in a front, downstream section (26) collets (28) with expansion slots (8) for clamping the electrode (4) in place. An annular duct (24) used as a protective gas duct is formed between the electrode holder (3) and a housing casing (22) and a gas lens (6) is disposed in the annular duct (24) or torch nozzle (5). The gas lens housing (20) is mounted with play at a front end (30) of the electrode holder (3).

Abstract: A tool holder for robotic curing or welding torches includes a housing having a facing part, a stop plate which is at least partially disposed within the housing and has a home position in which the stop plate is disposed proximate the housing facing part. A tool connection coupled to the stop plate is provided so that movement of the tool connection causes movement of the stop plate. A piston element is axially movably mounted in the housing and biased toward the stop plate. The piston element is disposed to be contacted by the stop plate and selectively slid axially in response to movement of either the tool connection or the stop plate. A detector sensor device including a trigger is disposed on the housing to be triggered by axial movement of the piston element.

The housing includes a tapered bore section and a cylindrical bore section disposed rearwardly of the tapered bore section. An electrode holder has a frustoconical portion with rearwardly facing tapered surfaces which engage the tapered section of the housing and a cylindrical portion disposed rearwardly adjacent the frustoconical portion and engaging the cylindrical bore section of the holder.
