  • Patent number: 11852479
Abstract: Methods and systems for managing the orientation of the display of an aeronautical chart, notably towards Magnetic North or True North are provided. Rotational and/or translational tactile movements may manage the display of the chart. In one advantageous embodiment, the display screen is a haptic feedback screen (for example piezoelectric or MEMS microactuators), the North symbol rendered in relief is able to be manipulated with a single finger and the display device is stabilized by at least partially compensating for the turbulence experienced by the cockpit. Some software aspects are described.

Date of Patent: December 26, 2023
    Assignee: THALES

  • Patent number: 10796460
Abstract: This method of managing the display of an aeronautical map from cartographical data is implemented by an electronic management device and comprises the following steps: acquiring a display scale of the map; determining a set of symbol(s) representative of obstacle(s) to be displayed, the obstacle(s) being included in the cartographical data, where: if the distance between two obstacles is greater than a visible distance threshold that depends on the display scale, two separate symbols are determined for these obstacles, each being representative of a respective obstacle, and if the distance between two obstacles is less than or equal to the visible distance threshold, a symbol representative of a grouping of obstacles is determined for these obstacles.

  • Patent number: 9454800
Abstract: A system for representing cartographic indications for an aircraft, said system comprising at least a cartographic database, a graphical computer, a display device and means of selecting a scale of the displayed cartographic data by a pilot or user. Each item of cartographic data comprises at least a first symbolic representation associated with a first scale depending on said item of cartographic data. When the selection means select a scale that is larger than or equal to the first scale, the first representation is displayed on the display device and when the selection means select a scale that is strictly smaller than the first scale, the first representation is no longer displayed on the display device. Each item of cartographic data can comprise at least a second symbolic representation associated with a second scale smaller than the first scale, said second scale depending on said item of cartographic data and obeying similar display rules.

  • Publication number: 20150161766
Abstract: The general field of the invention is that of systems for representing cartographic indications for an aircraft, said system comprising at least a cartographic database, a graphical computer, a display device and means of selecting the scale of the displayed cartographic data. In the system according to the invention, each item of cartographic data comprises at least a first symbolic representation associated with a first scale depending on said item of cartographic data. When the selection means select a scale that is larger than or equal to the first scale, the first representation is displayed on the display device and when the selection means select a scale that is strictly smaller than the first scale, the first representation is no longer displayed on the display device.

  • Patent number: 9015653
Abstract: An aeronautical software application development workbench handling the production of a graphical human-machine interface on one or more display equipment systems comprises computer means processing software tools for creating, simulating or integrating graphical functions or “widgets” and logic functions for modifying the content of the graphical functions according to incoming events on the display equipment system or systems, said widgets being described in a file called “Definition File”. The workbench includes a single graphical editor for designing the user application, the technical characteristic of which is to produce a structured language which describes each widget contained in the definition file and which associates consumed variables called “input plugs” with the modifiable attributes of said widget and produced variables called “output plugs” with the notifications of the events produced by said widget.

  • Patent number: 7100330
Abstract: A door module support, for fixing to a door body, between the damp space and the dry space of a motor vehicle, having a support plate for the location of functional elements of a vehicle door, for example, a window winder, a doorlock, door handle and/or a door internal cladding, first fixing points on for the support plate which serve for the fixing of the support plate to the door body. In the mounted state thereof, one surface of the support plate is facing the damp space and the other surface is facing the dry space with a sealing contour around the edge thereof, along which the support plate lies against the door body in a sealed manner when in the mounted state. The support plate further includes second fixing points, for the fixing of at least one functional element to the support plate.
