  • Patent number: 9353470
Abstract: Method for producing a fibrous product comprising: passing a texturized yarn (10) through a first passage (12) having a first outlet (14); projecting the texturized yarn (10) from the first outlet (14), inside a chamber (20), so as to fill the chamber (20) with the texturized yarn (10), thereby forming a first segment (31) of the fibrous product; moving the first segment (31) away from the first outlet (14); and forming a second segment (32) of the fibrous product in place of the first segment (31) and contiguously to the first segment (31), as many segments as necessary being contiguously formed by repeating the above steps. Apparatus for implementing the method.

  • Patent number: 8882019
Abstract: Method for the manufacture of wound packages comprising a plurality of assembled strands, characterized in that one separates the strands coming from a spinneret into at least 2 blankets, in which each one of the blankets is wound on the same wound package with the help of a traveler, said wound package supported by one of the spindles, one proceeds to start the movement of the circular pirn battery in such a way as to switch one of the spindles from its spooling phase to its rest phase, during this transition phase between the spindles, one proceeds to a separation of the rovings traveling from the spinneret to the surface of said wound package with the help of a separation device, one brings the cursor closer to the surface of the wound package and the latter then intercepts the trajectory of each one of the separated rovings in such a way as to enclose each one of the rovings within said traveler, and one positions the separation device in its second position.

  • Patent number: 7886562
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing glass strands coated with a hot-melt size, whereby molten glass streams, flowing out of orifices located in the base of one or more bushings, are drawn in the form of one or more sheets of continuous filaments, the filaments are then assembled into one or more strands that are collected on one or more moving supports, this process consisting in depositing a first composition containing a coupling agent on the glass filaments and then in depositing a second composition comprising a hot-melt polymer in the melt state, at the latest during assembly of the filaments into one or more strands. It also relates to the glass strands obtained according to this process and to the composites containing said strands.
