Abstract: The invention relates to novel powerful and non-irritating formulations of antiacneic substances and polyolprepolymers. The invention further relates to novel formulations of polyolprepolymers in combination with, for example, benzoyl peroxide exhibit progressive release of the active with a decrease in irritating effects. These formulations may be therapeutically beneficial over existing acne therapies.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a gripping member for use on a tubular insertion member of an applicator for inserting an object into a body cavity. The gripping member includes a plastic sleeve having a longitudinal axis, first and second ends, an outer surface, and a bore extending from the first end to the second end. It also includes a plurality of raised features disposed on the outer surface of the body, extending away from the longitudinal axis. At least one of the raised features is proximate the first end, and at least one of the raised features is proximate the second end. Finally, at least one notch defined by side edges is disposed at one of the first and second ends to impart flexibility to the associated end. The plastic sleeve is arranged and configured to be affixed to the associated tubular insertion member.

The object is held within the cage until placement into the user's body and the first and second stops are capable of engaging to allow the object to be delivered into the body cavity while the cage remains constrained within the insertion member.
