  • Publication number: 20230234553
Abstract: The vehicle includes an internal combustion engine having a crankshaft, a motor generator having an output shaft, a clutch, a water pump, a coolant temperature sensor, and a controller. The clutch is located between the crankshaft and the output shaft. The water pump is configured to pump the coolant in conjunction with rotation of the crankshaft. The coolant temperature sensor is configured to detect a coolant temperature of the internal combustion engine. The clutch is switchable between an engaged state and a disengaged state. The controller includes processing circuitry. When a predetermined condition is satisfied, the processing circuitry is capable of executing an engine stopping process of bringing the clutch into the disengaged state and stopping operation of the internal combustion engine. The predetermined condition includes that the coolant temperature detected by the coolant temperature sensor is equal to or lower than a first temperature.

  • Patent number: 9371782
Abstract: When a working angle of an intake valve is increased in accordance with a deficiency in a working fluid pressure of a VVT mechanism, an electronic control unit corrects an opening degree of a throttle valve so as to increase an intake air amount, and thereby restraining the intake air amount from decreasing in accordance with the increase in the working angle with a valve timing of the intake valve retarded, and hence suppressing a fall in an engine rotational speed.

  • Patent number: 7470211
Abstract: A valve characteristic changing mechanism is supplied with oil discharged from an electric oil pump in addition to oil discharged from a mechanical oil pump that is driven by an operation of an internal combustion engine. Driving of the electric oil pump is controlled such that a work rate of the electric oil pump increases as a temperature of the oil supplied to the valve characteristic changing mechanism increases, or as a viscosity of the oil is reduced.
