  • Patent number: 7207007
Abstract: The relation between the edit resultant clip and the clip to be edited is managed with the hierarchical structure by managing means, so that the complicate editing works can be easily performed if the editing works are performed based on the information stored in the managing means.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 4, 2001
Date of Patent: April 17, 2007
    Assignee: Sony Corporation

  • Patent number: 7055100
Abstract: An editing system for producing a resultant clip from a plurality of clips. Information indicating relations between the clips is stored and managed in a database according to a hierarchical structure. The content of a first resultant clip can be updated at any time, and the system automatically updates all other resultant clips that are produced from the first resultant clip.

  • Patent number: 6298155
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for generating time-series data, an apparatus and a method for editing curves and a recording medium having a recorded program in which the corresponding relation between curves at different time junctures is obtained from given corresponding points such as to prevent the curve shape from becoming dull due to smoothing. A candidate point string extraction unit checks the relation between the input point coordinate and the corresponding relation information to set each group of input points having the corresponding relation as a corresponding point string. An interpolation curve generating unit calculates an interpolation curve C(t) interpolating the corresponding point string along the time axis.

  • Patent number: 5440680
Abstract: An image display controller includes a first memory for storing data of an image to be displayed in a first window; a second memory for storing data of an image to be displayed in a second window, where no data is read from the second memory for image display during the data reading operation in the first memory; and a third memory for storing data of an overlay image on which the image of the first or second memory is superimposed, and also storing window data to set the range of the windows. The controller is arranged to prevent any disordered display of images and is capable of displaying an increased number of windows.

  • Patent number: 5418901
Abstract: A method and apparatus for shading images by approximating a three-dimensional curved surface for computer graphics. Shading of a two-dimensional surface is provided by varying pixel brightness values to indicate a depth dimension of the two-dimensional surface. A plurality of polygons are employed, with each polygon being used to approximate a portion of the curved surface. A coordinate grid is provided extending in horizontal and vertical directions. The polygons are plotted on this coordinate grid. Coordinate grid points of the coordinate grid each represent respective pixels whose brightness is to be varied for the graphics. Scanning occurs across scan lines in a horizontal direction across the grid from grid point to grid point. Vertices of the polygons are provided on the coordinate grid, which vertices may not necessarily lie directly on a grid point. Brightness values at each vertex of the polygon are provided.
