Abstract: A resin composition comprising: (1) 100 parts by weight of an aromatic polycarbonate resin (component A); (2) 0.005 to 0.6 part by weight of a fluorine-containing organic metal salt having a fluoride ion content measured by ion chromatography of 0.2 to 20 ppm in terms of weight (component B); and (3) at least one component selected from the group consisting of a flame retardant (component C), a fatty acid ester (component D), an ultraviolet light absorber (component E), polytetrafluoroethylene having fibril formability (component F), a filler (component G), a silicate mineral (component H) and a titanium dioxide pigment (component I). A process of manufacturing the resin compositon and a method of preventing the melt dripping during combustion of the resin composition. The flame retardancy of the above aromatic polycarbonate resin composition comprising the fluorine-containing organic metal salt compound is improved.

Abstract: A mobile communication terminal device that allows a third party to acquire position information, computed based on received GPS information, without requiring any operation on the side of the user of the mobile communication terminal device equipped with a GPS receiver. The mobile communication terminal device, which is connected to a network via radio, includes: a unit for receiving position information transmit request mail at a special address provided exclusively to accept a position information transmit request; a unit for receiving GPS information from a GPS satellite in response to the received position information transmit request mail; a unit for acquiring current position information based on the received GPS information; and a unit for transmitting the acquired position information as return mail to a predesignated mail address.

Abstract: The present invention has a configuration such that a plurality of leg portion elastic members are arranged around the respective leg openings of a disposable diaper so that the respective leg portion elastic members are not connected or cross each other in a crotch portion, the minimum width of an absorbent article body at the crotch portion is within the range of from 250 to 350 mm, and the opposite side edges in the width direction of the absorbent article body in the crotch portion bend towards the external surface of the diaper, when worn. As a result, the ability for absorbing a large amount of body waste can be easily ensured, and the performance of preventing leakage from the crotch portion can be easily improved.

Abstract: A masking film comprises a light-shielding peelable layer which is provided on a transparent support and comprises a polymer binder comprising a vinyl chloride resin, a rubberlike resin and a thermoplastic resin having OH groups and being compatible with the rubberlike resin and the vinyl chloride resin, wherein the polymer binder comprises a mixed nitrile rubber of a nitrile rubber having an acrylonitrile content of about 33% by weight and a Mooney viscosity of about 50 to 90 and another nitrile rubber either having an acrylonitrile content of about 28 to 32% by weight and a Mooney viscosity of about 35 to 70 or having an acrylonitrile content of about 33% by weight and a Mooney viscosity of about 35 to 50. The masking film simultaneously exhibits appropriate flexibility, good pick-up property, peelability and anti-blocking property of the light-shielding peelable layer and is stable against degradation of these properties with time.

Abstract: There is provided a process for producing a polycarbonate resin containing less amounts of a terminal OH group and a residual monomer and having excellent heat resistance efficiently with a simple equipment. Said process comprises emulsifying an oligomer-containing reaction mixture obtained by the reaction of an alkaline aqueous solution of an aromatic dihydroxy compound with phosgene in the presence of an organic solvent, after adding a molecular weight modifier thereto, and performing polymerization while the reaction mixture is allowed to stand still in the emulsified state.
