  • Publication number: 20220406083
Abstract: A training image that simulates a character block entered by part of a character in another row is generated efficiently. A noise is added in the vicinity of an end portion of a character image so that a noise that seems to be caused by entering of part of a character in another row is reproduced for the character image representing a handwritten character.

  • Publication number: 20220406081
Abstract: A training image in accordance with a way a hane occurs, which is found in actual handwriting, is generated. Among line segments constituting a handwritten character in a character image representing the handwritten character, a line segment at which a handwritten hane may occur is detected. Then, by performing processing to add a simulated hane to the end portion of the detected line segment, a training image is generated.

  • Patent number: 10733920
Abstract: A camera scanner captures an image of a document stand on which an object is placed using a camera unit. The camera scanner obtains an IP address of an electronic terminal (a smartphone) and an identifier of an image from the image of a display screen of the electronic terminal placed on the document stand by detecting and decoding a QR code. The camera scanner is connected to the electronic terminal based on the IP address, transmits a data transfer request including the identifier of the image to the electronic terminal, and receives image data transferred from the electronic terminal in response to the data transfer request. Then the camera scanner projects and plays an image generated based on the data transferred from the electronic terminal on the document stand using a projector.

  • Patent number: 9600057
Abstract: An information processing apparatus of one aspect of the present invention, upon receipt of a sleep return command from an information terminal via a wireless tag that receives a radio signal output from the information terminal and performs short-range wireless communication with the information terminal, switches the power mode of the information processing apparatus from the power-saving mode to a normal mode and notifies the information terminal that the information processing apparatus has been switched to the normal mode. After performing this notification, the information processing apparatus performs authentication of a user upon receipt of authentication data of the user from the information terminal, and starts an operation in the normal mode if the authentication of the user has succeeded, and shifts the power mode to the power-saving mode if the authentication of the user has not succeed.

  • Patent number: 9069542
Abstract: A power consumption amount management system which is capable of appropriately managing the amount of power consumption according to the situation. In the power consumption amount management system, an image forming apparatus and a power consumption management server are connected to a network. An electric power measurement section in the image forming apparatus measures the amount of electric power consumed by the apparatus. A measurement error determination section determines whether or not measurement of the power consumption amount is successful. An interface section outputs a notification of information on the power consumption amount measured in the image forming apparatus and a result of the determination. The power consumption management server receives the notification from the image forming apparatus, and corrects the information on the power consumption amount in the image forming apparatus by referring to the result of the determination.

  • Publication number: 20140164982
Abstract: In order to manage handwritten information written on a paper surface and electronic information input from an information terminal in association with each other, handwritten comment information and electronic comment information are managed as thread information in association with each other. When an object near a comment is imaged (captured), the thread information is superimposed and displayed on the captured image and is extended/displayed toward the object.

  • Patent number: 7665100
Abstract: There is provided a disk drive including first and second sliding members (69, 71) made to slide in synchronization with each other, a sliding-member movement driving mechanism (70) to move the first sliding member (69) and have the second sliding member (71) slide in synchronization with the sliding of the first sliding member (69), and a shock absorbing mechanism (83) interposed between the first and second sliding members (69, 71). The shock absorbing mechanism (83) includes a shock absorbing member (84) to absorb a difference in movement between the first and second sliding members (69, 71), caused by an external force to the optical disk brought into or to outside a housing (3) through a disk slot (21) in a direction opposite to the direction in which the optical disk (2) is loaded or ejected when the first sliding member (69) is moved by the sliding-member movement driving mechanism (70).

  • Patent number: 7200851
Abstract: There is provided a disk drive in which a base lifting mechanism (93) makes a first disk chucking operation to place an optical disk (2) on a disk mount (27) by elevating at least a base (31) to a disk chucking position, lowers the base (31) to an intermediate position between the disk chucking position and a disk releasing position so that a disk rotation driving mechanism (28) spins the optical disk (2) which will thus take another phase, elevates the base (31) to the disk chucking position again, and makes a second disk chucking operation to place the optical disk (2) on the disk mount (27). Thus, the optical disk can positively be chucked onto the disk mount.
