The weft inserting control device also includes a controlling unit for controlling the weft reaching angle on the basis of the detection value and a result of the comparison carried out by the first comparing unit. The controlling unit controls the weft reaching angle by reducing a predetermined amount of the detection value and by using the threshold value as the detection value, for example, when the second comparing unit reveals the detection value to be over the threshold value.

    Abstract: A fringed selvage retainer operating device is incorporated into a shuttleless loom to operate a fringed selvage retainer for preventing the folding of free ends of weft yarns which form a fringed selvage of a fabric on the shuttleless loom on an arriving side of the shuttleless loom. The operating device also shifts the fringed selvage retainer between a working position where the fringed selvage retainer is placed during a weaving operation and a waiting position where the fringed selvage retainer is placed during a faulty weft yam extracting operation by an actuator. The fringed selvage retainer is separated from the fringed selvage and shifted to the waiting position so that a faulty weft yarn may not twine around or may not be caught by the fringed selvage retainer when extracting the faulty weft yarn from a shed formed by reversing the shuttleless loom.

    Abstract: An apparatus for replacing a full cloth roll loaded on a pair of rollers of a weaving machine with an empty cloth roll, which apparatus includes a pair of oscillating members supported by the weaving machine to oscillate about an axis of a rod supported by the weaving machine and cylinders for having both the oscillating members to produce oscillating movement. Each oscillating member includes a contact portion exerting a pressing force to the full cloth roll to roll the full cloth roll while both the oscillating members are oscillating in one direction. Each oscillating member further includes a guide wall disposed behind the contact portion for catching the empty cloth roll in cooperation with the peripheral surface of the textile of the full cloth roll, and for directing, during the oscillating movement of both the oscillating members, the empty cloth roll to the upper position right above both the rollers in cooperation with the peripheral surface of the textile of the full cloth roll.
