  • Publication number: 20040027453
Abstract: A coverage area picture imaging a maximum area is displayed on a coverage area picture display. A camera is moved within a predetermined range and a plurality of frames obtained as a result form a picture. The pixels of the picture is decimated in vertical and horizontal directions and form a thumbnail as the coverage area picture. The coverage area picture display presents a display indicating a direction in which the camera is currently directed for picture photographing. In accordance with the display, a photographing direction is controlled. A plurality of frames are photographed with respect to a designated position, then stored, and displayed. A whole picture display presents a whole panorama picture. A selective picture display presents a frame at the position designated within the whole panorama picture as a selected picture.

  • Publication number: 20040017470
Abstract: A camera includes a lens unit and an imaging unit. The optical axis of the camera is defined as a reference line, and a central line of a shooting area including an object to be shot is defined as an imaging centerline. A shift lens is moved to a shift-lens position which corresponds to the count of pulses supplied to a servomotor of a pan/tilter, so that an object image travels along an optical path generated by the shift lens is incident on another lens, and is then incident on the imaging unit. Accordingly, the object image incident on the imaging unit does not change while the shift lens is moved.

  • Publication number: 20040002984
Abstract: A monitoring system includes a picture capturing unit, a storage unit for storing original images composed of still images captured by said picture capturing unit, or a compressed images composed of compressed still images generated by compressing the still images, an image display unit, a designating unit for designating a region in an image displayed on the image display unit, and a control unit. The control unit controls said image display unit to display a panoramic entire image composed of the stored original images or compressed images, and updates only an image in the designated region in the entire image.

  • Patent number: 4769103
Abstract: A label printer for printing data on a label attached on a long ground paper by means of a thermal head opposed to a platen. The label printer includes a ground paper feeder constituted of a drive roller and a pinch roller for sandwiching the ground paper therebetween. The drive roller stretches the ground paper with slip generated between the drive roller and the ground paper to peel off the printed label from the ground paper by means of a peeling plate and to issue the same. The surface of the drive roller is provided with a wear resistance to prevent wear of the drive roller and thereby to prevent change in the outer circumference of the drive roller. Accordingly, the ground paper may be stretched by the paper feeder under always fixed conditions, and the label may be reliably peeled off by the peeling plate.

  • Patent number: 4731682
Abstract: A signal recording and/or reproducing system having a tape cassette storing and transporting arrangement therein comprises a cassette storing apparatus having a plurality of receiving compartments each provided for storing a tape cassette therein and at least one recording and/or reproducing apparatus used with the tape cassette taken out from the cassette storing apparatus. A housing is provided with a control panel portion on the top or front wall thereof and with an opening through which the tape cassette is inserted therein on the side wall thereof and a cassete loading mechanism is provided in the housing for guiding a tape cassette inserted in the housing through the opening provided therein to a tape driving portion.

  • Patent number: 4671844
Abstract: A labeling apparatus holds an article to which a label is to be stuck, on a holder and then moves the holder carrying the article from a home position via a waiting position and a labeling position back to the home position. In a label peeling and issuing section, the article is moved up toward a label being issued in the label peeling and issuing section and is brought into contact with the label so that the label is peeled from the supporting strip and stuck to the article as the holder holding the article is moved toward the home position along guide paths. Reverse movement preventing plates prevent the reverse movement of the holder as the holder is moved along the guide paths. With the labeling apparatus the label can applied to the article simply and automatically without requiring a manual labeling operation.

  • Patent number: 4357639
Abstract: In a magnetic recording and/or reproducing apparatus of the type having a cylindrical tape guide drum with at least one rotary magnetic head adapted to move in a circular path substantially coinciding with the outer circumferential surface of said drum and a tape cassette holder positioned in front of the guide drum for receiving a tape cassette containing a magnetic tape, an automatic tape loading and unloading device for wrapping a portion of the tape about the guide drum includes a rotatable support ring extending around the guide drum and being rotatable in a plane that is inclined with respect to a plane passing through the tape in the tape cassette; a tape drawing mechanism for withdrawing a loop of tape from the cassette to a predetermined position adjacent the guide drum; a first tape guiding assembly adapted to ride along an arcuate guide rail surrounding a first portion of the outer circumferential surface of the guide drum and actuable by a guide pin on the support ring for wrapping the loop of tap
