    Abstract: A rear-end bearing accommodating portion that has a floored cylindrical shape is formed integrally on a rear bracket. A brush apparatus is mounted to the rear bracket by mounting a slinger portion onto an end portion of a shaft so as to cover slip rings. A rectifier is mounted to the rear bracket in close proximity to the rear-end bearing accommodating portion and the slinger portion. A rolling bearing is configured into a creep preventing bearing in which a resin band is mounted into a ring-shaped recessed groove that is recessed into an outer circumferential surface of an outer ring. A first slit is disposed through the slinger portion so as to be positioned so as to face downward when mounted to a vehicle and so as to communicate between an internal portion and an external portion of the slinger portion.

In addition, insulating tubes are interposed between the relay members and extraction apertures so as to cover outer sides of the relay members.

The rotation detecting sensor is arranged coaxially with a rotating shaft of the rotor, for detecting a state of the rotor and functioning as a motor or a generator. The magnetic pole position detecting sensor is integrally fixed to the bracket.

This output terminal board 8 is disposed in such a manner as being capable of joining to the bracket 7 side on which the output terminal board 8 is mounted, and the three output harnesses 6 are taken out substantially in parallel to one another.

The pulley and the rotation shaft are mutually engaged to form an engagement portion. The engagement portion includes a regulation means for regulating-sliding movement between the rotation shaft and the pulley in their peripheral direction.
