  • Publication number: 20070147826
Abstract: In a scene recognition photographing device of the present invention, a feature quantity of an acquired image acquired from an image pickup element is calculated from the acquired image. Plural types of reference feature information having a feature quantity serving as a reference at the time of determining a composition are stored as a database in an internal memory or a storage device. Moreover, a camera control unit retrieves reference feature information having a feature quantity similar to the feature quantity of the acquired image from among the reference feature information by comparing the calculated feature quantity and the reference feature information. Then, information relating to composition is displayed on a display device on the basis of a result of comparison between the acquired image and the retrieved reference feature information.

  • Publication number: 20050289616
Abstract: A storing-reproducing unit 200 recognizes a free space of a contents storage area by a storage-area-administrating device, sets a recording timing duration based on the recognized free space of the contents storage area, and selects a schedule information of a contents to be recorded from recording schedule list information. Hence, frequency of storing the contents in the HDD 270 can be reduced, thereby avoiding that the contents which has not yet watched is erased by self-erasing, so that the contents can be effectively recorded. Therefore, a user can secure flexibility in time in watching the contents.

  • Publication number: 20050289635
Abstract: A storing/reproducing device includes a storing controller that recognizes programming information read out from timer recording list information and the data size of a content corresponding to the programming information, and compares the data size with free spaces of an automatic recording area 272 and a manual recording area 273 both forming a content recording area 271, the free spaces being recognized by a storing area manager. When the content is recorded based on the programming information set with input operation by a user, the storing controller records the content in the automatic recording area 272 if the storing controller judges that there is not enough free space in the manual recording area 273. Accordingly, other pieces of information will not be recorded in the manual recording area 273, thereby securing free space in the manual recording area. Therefore, manual recording with the input operation by the user can surely be performed.

  • Patent number: 6809780
Abstract: A projector, which projects color images using the three liquid crystal panels (41-43) while cooling them by the fans (611-613) for G, R, and B panels, comprises the level calculation unit (711) for finding the intensity levels of the R, G, and B components of image signals, the level calculation unit (721) for finding the voice levels of voice signals, the fan control unit (73) for controlling the numbers of revolutions of the fans (611-613), and the memory (761) for storing the cumulative amount of lighting time of the lamp (21). As the intensity levels get higher, the numbers of revolutions of the fans are increased, and as the cumulative amount of lighting time becomes larger, the numbers of revolutions of the fans are decreased. As a result, unnecessary noises caused by the fans (611-613) can be reduced while the liquid crystal panels (41-43) are properly cooled.
