Abstract: A document information management method includes the steps to be executed by: a document registration program of storing a document in a document storage unit in accordance with a registered document by a user, document properties and a user profile, and forming document query and query structure indices of document properties and the user profile to store these indices in a query data storage unit and to further form several seeds documents; a related document retrieval program of retrieving a query data storage unit by using the seeds documents as query expressions to obtain query results of the document, the document properties and the user profile; and a related information notification program of generating related information of the document for each of the query results, and notifying the related information for each notice destination, including the related information of the document, of the document properties and of the user profile.

Abstract: When registering a document, notify a document registrant of related information of one or more documents similar in content thereto. In addition, upon registration of the document, if a folder is designated as a registration destination thereof then notify the document registrant of relevant information of any available similar documents which reside within the registration destination folder. This permits users to effortlessly recognize and grasp useful relevant information through information publication. This in turn makes it possible to provide users with motivation for progressive or “positive” participation in common sharing of information and knowledge.

Document information is offered in only the editable form to users desiring updating of document information. When this document information is utilized, a subsequent utilization state of the document information is followed.

Abstract: In a system for registering and managing the E-mail information that is necessarily used commonly by a plurality of users/groups professionally, a group of a plurality of user information including addressers and addressees who relate to the transmission/reception is extracted from the E-mail information to be registered, and the user information is stored in an access right group management information corresponding to the E-mail information as a user group who deserves the common access right. Thereby, the necessary access right is set to each E-mail information easily and correctly. When a user requests an access to the E-mail information, the access right group management information is referred to thereby determine whether there is the access right or not.

Abstract: A line thickening method and system therefor, which holds skeleton line data of characters consisting of the kinds of lines relative to the types of shapes of lines comprising a character and sequence of coordinates of a plurality of points providing the end positions of the skeleton lines, the thickening process utilizes the kinds of lines of the end positions of the skeleton lines inside a character box for each character, and whenever necessary, one of a plurality of processes is selected for thickening, wherein thickening width data are previously stored for the right and left sides of the direction of each skeleton line viewing from one of the end positions of the skeleton line.
