  • Patent number: 5502512
Abstract: An apparatus for digital video and audio processing including information input and output processing devices for input, output, and processing of pictures and sounds. An information transmission device is provided for transmitting video and audio information between adjacent information input and output processing devices in one direction. The information transmission device connects the information input and output processing devices to a control device which controls the information input and output processing devices. A bus is also provided for transferring video or audio information or control information to the information input and output processing devices. An input terminal is used to enter control information into the control device.

  • Patent number: 5481752
Abstract: A data editing apparatus includes a mass storage device to edit multimedia data such as picture, audio, text and other data. By the visual graphic display of the time positions of the edited information, the user can easily grasp the reproduction time of the picture, text and audio data, thereby simplifying synchronization of plural media data. Graphic editing may be effected to facilitate multimedia data editing.

  • Patent number: 5379380
Abstract: Information which must be continuously inputted or outputted in time, namely, audio and picture information, are inputted and outputted into a file apparatus as the digital data. Conventionally, the continuous inputting and outputting operations of the audio and the picture information and editing operations such as deletion, insertion and so on could not be made compatible and instantaneous. In the present technique an individual size is continuously stored into a storage media physically, and the input and output of the data and the storage reproduction with the storage media are effected in non-synchronization, with the size of an input/output buffer, a unit of an input/output of the audio and the picture information, and the unit of the editing being the same in size so as to realize instantaneousness and continuous input/output operations of the editing.

  • Patent number: 5276830
Abstract: Mass data is managed as data files in a mass data storage device. Each data file is formed or plural data blocks. Upon editing of a data file, the data content of each data block forming the file is examined. If the data content of a data block is less than a predetermined value, data from one or more adjacent data blocks is extracted and placed in the one data block so that the data content thereof will be at least the predetermined constant value. In this manner, the data content of blocks forming a file is maintained at or above a predetermined level.

  • Patent number: 4974178
Abstract: Information including pictures, sounds, and characters is inputted. A form of the inputted information is converted into a prescribed format in accordance with properties of the information, and thus converted information is derived. A first storage means holds the inputted information and/or the converted information. The information held in the first storage means is edited, and thus edited information is derived. A reproduction sequence is generated. A second storage means holds the edited information. The information held in the first storage means and/or the second storage means is reproduced in the reproduction sequence to allow a check on the information and the reproduction sequence. The information held in the first storage means or the second storage means is outputted for manufacturing a recording medium.

  • Patent number: 4326224
Abstract: A magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus for recording a signal on and reproducing it from a magnetic tape comprises an automatic A.C. bias adjusting device for increasing an A.C. bias current to be superimposed during recording of the signal at a predetermined rate and differentiating the reproduced signal by time to automatically establish an optimum A.C. bias, and a record compensation device for recording and reproducing an adjusting square wave, separating a fundamental frequency component of the square wave from a harmonic component, comprising both components to determine a ratio of them and adjusting a record compensation frequency characteristic in accordance with the ratio.
