  • Patent number: 6868680
Abstract: The heater has increased quick responsiveness to temperature control of air, and the air conditioner can realize highly accurate temperature control using the heater. A duct unit having heat sources comprising electric lamps in the inside thereof is attached to an air duct. Air coming into contact with glass bulbs of the electric lamps is heated by radiant heat and transferred heat generated by lighting the electric lamps, whereby the heater with increased quick responsiveness to temperature control is obtained. A first heater and a second heater are provided in the air duct, respectively, and temperature sensors for controlling these heaters are attached to the air duct and a precision environment chamber, respectively, whereby temperature control in two stages with different temperature resolutions is made possible, and an air conditioner with high accuracy excellent in controllability can be provided.

  • Patent number: 6216817
Abstract: A vibration damped structure, which is excellent in vibration absorption and sound absorption effect, is provided by coating the surface of a structure to be damped with a mixture of molten photopolymerizable resin and a photopolymerization initiator and then subjecting the coated surface to irradiation, whereby a vibration damping coating is formed on said surface.

  • Patent number: 5443116
Abstract: The stacked heat exchanger of the present invention has a structure wherein grooves are brazed together to seal the external surface of the coolant passage, further grooves are brazed together to form a partition between the straight incoming and outgoing flow passages, and least one groove in the straight incoming and outgoing flow passage section which groove runs in parallel with the grooves earlier mentioned is formed on the formed plates. With this structure, drain water flows down promptly through these grooves and the splashing of the drain water into the downstream area of the heat exchanger can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 5417280
Abstract: The present invention discloses a stacked heat exchanger in which separate flow paths 54 and 55 which are formed by corrugated inner fins 52 and 53 are disposed in chambers 48 and 49 of a flat tube 41, and also separate U-shaped flow paths 56 are formed at the U-turn portion 50 to make the flow of refrigerant smooth, increase the area of flow paths, and eliminate the stagnation of refrigerant at the U-turn portion 50. The separation of refrigerant into two phases of gas and liquid due to centrifugal forces at the U-turn portion 50 is limited to the inside of each divided U-shaped flow path 56, thereby the distribution of the gas and liquid phases can be decreased. Also disclosed is a method of manufacturing a stacked heat exchanger, in which the reliability of flat tube 41 is improved, and the leakage of refrigerant is prevented.

  • Patent number: 4549472
Abstract: The present invention relates to an air-conditioning and an environmental control device for manufacturing plants of integrated circuits, chemicals and foods, hospitals, etc. where clean air is required. In this environmental control device, controlled air blows out from one side and is absorbed into the other side of the room. The blowing surface and the absorbing surface are divided on the basis of the predetermined module. Ventilating units are formed in a suitable size to conform to the module. Because of the construction, the controlling system of temperature or cleanliness of the air in the environmental control room can be rearranged to an optional one by replacing or changing positions of the ventilating units. Even if a controlling system is rearranged to an optional one, the room should be divided into a supply chamber, a mixing chamber, an environmental control chamber and a return chamber from one side to the opposite side of the room, so that air conditioned can flow as required.
