  • Patent number: 6217678
Abstract: The present invention provides a steel wire rod or bar which exhibits good cold deformability even though it does not undergo spheroidizing annealing after hot rolling. The steel wire rod or bar with good cold deformability is characterized in that its ferrite structure contains no less than 25 nitride and carbide particles in a mixed state or composite state per 25 &mgr;m on average in a sectional area three-fourths of the diameter within the circumference of the rod or bar. Such nitride and carbide precipitates contribute to the reduction of flow stress at temperatures raised by heat generation at the time of cold deforming.

  • Patent number: 5099851
Abstract: An automatic sphygomomanometer for recognizing blood pressure through detection of Korotkoff sound or cuff pulsating pressure, comprising an air noise removing filter including an air reservoir and a flow resistor connected in series between a pressurizing pump and a cuff. After rectifying the noise generated by the pressing pump, the air is provided, and the blood pressure measurement is made. Preferably, the automatic sphygmomanometer has a flow resistor which has a resistor element made of fibers or paper. A bypass passage bypassing the air noise removing filter, is so controlled that, when the cuff pressure is below a predetermined level, the air supplied from the pressurizing pump is introduced into the cuff through the bypass passage so as to rapidly raise the pressure. After a predetermined level is reached, the air form the pressurizing pump is charged into the cuff through the air noise removing filter.

  • Patent number: 5089341
Abstract: The present invention relates to the high-sensitivity thermosensitive multilayer film and the method to produce plate-making paper using the film. In the present invention, the high-sensitivity thermosensitive multilayer film consists of at least one functional layer and at least one peeling layer. The said functional layer is made of the thermoplastic resin layer with the thickness of 0.1 to 12 .mu.m and with at least 30% of a thermal shrinkage rate and at least 50 g/mm.sup.2 of thermal shrinkage stress value. The peeling layer consists of the thermoplastic resin layer which is different from that of the functional layer and is the special multilayer film which is readily releasable and capable of exerting a compressive force to the functional layer. When the stencil sheet is manufactured by using the said multilayer film, the operation efficiency at time of lamination and the shrinkage capacity can improve by peeling the said peeling layer after lamination from porous supporting member.
