Patent number: 8700408Abstract: An in-vehicle apparatus receives an image data representative of a screen image from a portable terminal with a touch panel. The apparatus extracts a text code data from the image data, and identifies a text-code display area in the screen image. The apparatus determines a command text based on a user-uttered voice command. The apparatus identifies a text-code display area as a subject operation area in the screen image of the portable terminal, based on the command text, the text code data extracted from image data, and information on the text-code display area corresponding to the text code data. An area of the screen image of the touch panel corresponding to the text-code display area is identified as the subject operation area, and a signal indicative of the subject operation area identified is transmitted to the portable terminal.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2012Date of Patent: April 15, 2014Assignee: Denso CorporationInventors: Hideo Miyauchi, Koichi Masuda

Patent number: 8527144Abstract: An in-vehicle apparatus changes icon appearance of gadget-associated icons according to travel impediment information associated with respective gadgets during the travel of a vehicle. The icon appearance has an improved recognizability if the icon is associated with a gadget that does not impede the travel of the vehicle, or has a worsened recognizability if the icon is associated with a gadget that impedes the travel of the vehicle. As a result, the in-vehicle apparatus allows a user to easily recognize whether a gadget-associated icon has impeding operation steps or non-impeding operation steps for the execution of the respective gadgets, thereby enabling a safer travel of the vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2010Date of Patent: September 3, 2013Assignee: DENSO CORPORATIONInventors: Kyoji Oda, Kenji Miyake, Hideo Miyauchi

Patent number: 7941189Abstract: Road noise is reduced without locally storing noise spectrum patterns for determination or without detecting the present position of a vehicle from the device. An in-vehicle hands-free device causes a cellular phone to detect the present position of the vehicle and transmit the position to a server. The server determines a noise spectrum pattern corresponding to the road surface on which the vehicle is presently running. The noise spectrum pattern is based on the present position of the vehicle received from the in-vehicle hands-free device and road information. The server transmits the noise spectrum pattern to the in-vehicle hands-free device whereupon a noise canceling signal is superimposed on a received signal. The noise canceling signal is based on an inverted noise spectrum pattern that is obtained by inverting the phase of the noise spectrum pattern. The resulting composite signal is output from a speaker.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2008Date of Patent: May 10, 2011Assignee: Denso CorporationInventor: Hideo Miyauchi

Publication number: 20100204987Abstract: A speech recognition device is disclosed. The device obtains sound of speech of a user and an image of a lip shape of the user. The device determines whether a sudden noise is generated during user speaking. When it is determined that a sudden noise is not generated, the device recognizes content of the speech based on the sound of the speech. When it is determined that a sudden noise is generated, the device recognize the content of the speech based on the image of the lip shape of the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 3, 2010Publication date: August 12, 2010Applicant: DENSO CORPORATIONInventor: Hideo Miyauchi

Publication number: 20050182671Abstract: A rental support system includes a first communication device, a second communication device, and a server. The server is in data communication with the first and second communication devices. The first communication device transmits enrollment information to the server. The enrollment information identifies at least one object for rent and a lending period. Upon receiving the enrollment information, the server stores lending information that is based on the enrollment information in an information database. The second communication device transmits request information to the server to identify the at least one object for rent. Upon receiving the request information, the server searches the information database for lending information corresponding to the request information. When found, the server transmits a lending information list obtained as the result of the search to the second communication device.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 3, 2005Publication date: August 18, 2005Inventor: Hideo Miyauchi

Publication number: 20040015354Abstract: A recognition dictionary stored in a recognition dictionary storing unit stores a recognition word and a voice content in two manners. In a first manner, the recognition word of a single-digit number and its voice content of reading the single-digit number are correlated with each other. In a second manner, the recognition word of a plural-digit number and its voice content of reading the plural-digit number that includes expression of a figure are correlated with each other. For instance, “12” is thereby recognized, even when a speaker utters to input “12” by reading either “one-two” or “twelve.” As a result, a user selects a reading manner for a phone number so that the user can easily read the phone number.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 9, 2003Publication date: January 22, 2004Inventors: Hideo Miyauchi, Makoto Sakai

Patent number: 4874303Abstract: Disclosed is a tire vulcanising press wherein a plurality of sectors provided for gripping the upper bead of a green tire loaded in position between a pair of upper and lower die elements to carry the green tire in a suspended condition will not form an obstruction to an elastic forming member for shaping. The tire vulcanizing press includes an inner cylinder mounted for up and down movement on the upper die element and having at a lower end portion thereof a bead ring which is capable of forming part of the upper die element, and a sector housing mounted for up and down movement in the inner cylinder and carrying thereon the sectors for movement between an open position and a closed position. The upper bead of the green tire can be gripped between the bead ring and sectoral portions of the sectors, and the sectoral portions of the sectors are accommodated in the lower end portion of the inner cylinder when the sectors are in the closed position.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 1988Date of Patent: October 17, 1989Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Kobe Seiko ShoInventors: Katumi Ichikawa, Itaru Amano, Yasuhiko Hujieda, Shikao Misumi, Seisuke Hukumura, Hideo Miyauchi
