  • Patent number: 11567220
Abstract: A first positioning portion, a calculator, and a second positioning portion are provided in an electronic device targeted for positioning. The first positioning portion obtains, by Doppler positioning, a candidate position which is a candidate for an initial position of the electronic device in code phase positioning from radio waves received from each of GPS satellites. The calculator calculates an index value indicating the magnitude of variation in code phase from a difference between a code phase obtained from the radio waves received from each of the GPS satellites and a code phase obtained based on a candidate position and a position of each GPS satellite. The second positioning portion performs the code phase positioning using ZCount or a candidate position according to the index value.

  • Patent number: 9091756
Abstract: In a baseband process circuit unit, a demodulation unit demodulates a received satellite signal which carries a navigation message to obtain a demodulated data. Further, an error bit detection unit detects an error bit from among the demodulated data using a parity code included in the demodulated data. An inconsistent bit detection unit detects an inconsistent bit by comparing the demodulated data with prescribed comparison data. An adoption determination unit determines whether or not to adopt the demodulated data, based on a difference between the error bit and the inconsistent bit. In addition, a correction unit corrects the demodulated data, in a case where the demodulated data is determined to be adopted by the adoption determination unit.

  • Patent number: 9014304
Abstract: A satellite signal which carries a navigation message including satellite-specific information is received. Data of the navigation message is demodulated from received satellite signal. Error detection processing is carried out on demodulated data on a word basis of the navigation message. The number of bit transitions is counted at each corresponding bit transition position with respect to a first word in which an error is detected in the error detection processing and which carries the satellite-specific information, and plural second words belonging to a different frame from a frame to which the first word belongs and having a common part with the first word. A bit value of the first word is detected based on the number of bit transitions counted.

  • Patent number: 8908805
Abstract: A demodulation unit demodulates a received signal in which carrier wave of a navigation message that is modulated according to a BPSK modulation scheme are included. An error detection processing unit performs an error detection process on the demodulation result using an error detection bit that is included in the demodulation result. A verification word generator generates a verification word using the demodulation result and a check code when an error is detected by the error detection process, the check code being determined in advance for each bit of the navigation message based on a predetermined encoding rule. An estimation unit estimates an originating bit of a demodulation error by comparing the verification word generated by the verification word generator with a verification word table stored in a storage unit. A correction unit corrects the demodulation result by inverting the bit values of bits subsequent to the estimated originating bit.
