  • Patent number: 7303806
Abstract: A sheet for a writing board and a reflection type screen has excellent writability and erasability when used as a writing board and excellent anti-glare property without hot spots when used as a reflection type screen. This sheet includes a resin layer presenting a writing surface with unevenness having an arithmetical mean deviation (JIS-B-0601) of 1.0-4.0 ?m and a mean spacing of profile irregularities (JIS-B-0601) between adjacent protrusions of 30-300 ?m formed by embossing. The resin layer preferably contains as an ultraviolet ray curable resin. Since the unevenness is formed on the resin layer by embossing, ink does not penetrate the resin layer and hence the sheet has excellent erasability.

  • Patent number: 6404548
Abstract: A reflection type screen having a high SG value, a wide view angle and an excellent color reproducibility of bright parts of projected image is provided. The reflection type screen comprises a substrate having a light reflecting property such as a white plastic film and a light diffusion layer 2 formed on the substrate, which contains a light diffusion agent and a pearl pigment dispersed in a binder resin. The pearl pigment is mica covered with titanium dioxide and has an optical characteristic reflecting blue component of light projected by a projector and transmitting light of a color complementary to blue. When PC images having many white parts or the like are projected on the screen, the bright part of the images does not become yellowish and projected images with high whiteness can be obtained. The content of pearl pigment is preferably 5-100 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the binder resin and 10-150 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the light diffusion agent.

  • Patent number: 6297905
Abstract: A portable screen assembly includes a spring-biased roll rotatably mounted to a lower casing, and a screen rotatably mounted at one end thereof to a top bar. The screen is set to a desired height by adjusting a repulsive force for a descent of the screen, and an upward biasing force of a height retaining device engaged with an expansion device against gravity and an elastic force of a spring attached to the spring-biased roll.

  • Patent number: 6249377
Abstract: A portable screen assembly includes first and second frames extending parallel to each other, a spring-biased roll rotatably mounted in the first frame, and a screen bonded at its one end to the second frame and wound around the spring-biased roll. An extender is provided for biasing the first and second frames away from each other to impart a predetermined tension to the screen. During use of the portable screen assembly, the first and second frames are supported generally verically by a purality of support legs.

  • Patent number: 5760954
Abstract: A reflective type screen has well-balanced properties and is capable of producing a clear image even in a lighted room. The screen has a reflective layer formed on a substrate, a polarizing film layer adhered to the reflective layer through an adhesive layer, and a light diffusion layer on the other side of the polarizing flim layer. The reflective layer preferably consists of a coating layer including a binder resin and aluminum paste and having a glossiness in the range of from 70 to 120% as measured according to JIS-K-7105. The glossiness of the surface of the product, i.e. the screen, is in the range of from 3 to 9%. In the above range of glossiness, the screen exhibits an even luminance and a good SG value.

  • Patent number: 5581401
Abstract: A portable screen assembly for use with a projector has a housing made up of a lower casing and an upper casing pivotally mounted on the lower casing to open or close the lower casing. The housing accommodates a roll rotatably mounted on the lower casing, a screen wound around the roll, a hanger bar to which one side of the screen is connected, and two extension robe assemblies having respective first ends pivotally mounted on the lower casing for movement between folded-down positions and erected positions generally perpendicular to each other. The hanger bar extends parallel to the roll in a spaced relationship when accommodated within the housing, while the two extension robe assemblies extend, when in the folded-down positions, in line with each other in a direction parallel to the roll and in a spaced relationship thereto. A bar clip is mounted on a second end of each of the extension robe assemblies.
