  • Patent number: 10608375
Abstract: A connector assembly comprises a first connector and a second connector matable with the first connector in a mating direction. The first connector includes a housing and a slider held by the housing and slidable with respect to the housing in a direction intersecting the mating direction. The slider has a slider backlash restraining device disposed on an inner wall. The slider slides in a first direction to cause the second connector to move in the mating direction and slides in a second direction opposite to the first direction to cause the second connector to move in a direction opposite to the mating direction. The second connector has a connector backlash restraining device disposed on an outer wall of the second connector. The slider backlash restraining device abuts the connector backlash restraining device when the first connector is mated with the second connector.

  • Publication number: 20120322285
Abstract: A water-proof connector includes a connector body and an outer housing surrounding the connector body and fixed to a case. The connector body has contacts and a main body housing having a main body receiving portion receiving a mating connector and holding the contacts. The outer housing includes an outer receiving portion accommodating the main body receiving portion of the connector body and receiving the mating connector with the main body receiving portion and a guide cylinder corresponding to a projection provided in the case when assembled to the case. The space between the case and the outer housing is sealed by a seal member at an outer side of the outer receiving portion.

  • Publication number: 20090156048
Abstract: The invention relates to a contact insertion guide structure having a contact and an insulative housing. The contact having a mating portion for contacting a mating contact at one end, a terminal portion for connecting to a circuit board on an opposite end, and a press-fit section between the mating portion and the terminal portion. The housing having a contact receiving passageway through which the contact is inserted, and a securing section which is formed in an inner wall of the contact receiving passageway and into which the press-fit section is received. The contact further includes a first narrow section formed closer to the terminal portion than the press-fit section and thinner than the press-fit section, and a second narrow section formed closer to the terminal portion than the first narrow section and further thinner than the first narrow section.
