  • Patent number: 9082360
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes an array substrate, a counter substrate and a liquid crystal layer held between the array substrate and the counter substrate. A display portion having a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix is formed of the substrates and the liquid crystal layer. Each of the pixels includes a pixel electrode and a counter electrode arranged opposing to the pixel electrode. A driving portion is formed on the array substrate to supply a pixel voltage to the pixel electrode. A correcting circuit is formed on the array substrate to correct the voltage supplied to the pixel electrode by adding a predetermined DC voltage to the voltage supplied to the pixel electrode corresponding to gradations to be displayed in the pixel.

  • Patent number: 5825439
Abstract: An array substrate for a display equipped with a connecting conductor for electrically connecting signal lines and scan lines via non-linear element circuits, wherein the non-linear element circuit is configured with a scan line connecting pad or a signal line connecting pad as a first electrode and with the connecting conductor as a second electrode. By this way, a breakdown of the elements caused by the effect of static electrically generated on the way of production can be fully reduced and a width of a frame of the display unit can be fully reduced while maintaining a high production yield.

  • Patent number: 5132819
Abstract: In a liquid-crystal display device of active matrix type, a plurality of column-selecting lines and a plurality of auxiliary capacitance lines are formed on a transparent substrate. A plurality of row-selecting lines and two display-electrode segments are formed on an insulative film formed on the column-selecting and auxiliary capacitance lines and the transparent substrate. Two switching elements each connected to the column-selecting, row-selecting and auxiliary capacitance lines are also formed on the transparent substrate. Two auxiliary capacitors are formed between the display-electrode segments and the auxiliary capacitance line. A strip conductor is formed on the transparent substrate under each pair of display-electrode segments. A common electrode opposes the display-electrode segments with a liquid crystal layer therebetween.
