  • Publication number: 20240014850
Abstract: A wireless communication terminal apparatus wherein CoMP communication can normally be performed without increasing the overhead of an upstream line control channel. In this apparatus, a spreading unit (214) primarily spreads a response signal by use of a ZAC sequence established by a control unit (209). A spreading unit (217) secondarily spreads the response signal, to which CP has been added, by use of a block-wise spread code sequence established by the control unit (209). The control unit (209) controls, in accordance with sequence numbers and a hopping pattern established therein, the circular shift amount of the ZAC sequence to be used for the primary spread in the spreading unit (214) and the block-wise spread code sequence to be used for the secondary spread in the spreading unit (217). The hopping pattern established in the control unit (209) is a hopping pattern common to a plurality of base stations that CoMP-receive the response signal.

  • Publication number: 20240008133
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a user equipment (UE), comprising the following. A processor of the UE determines that transmission of small data is to be performed by the UE to a base station. The UE is in an inactive state out of a connected state, an idle state and the inactive state. A transmitter of the UE performs transmission of the small data. The processor determines whether to transmit a preferred-UE-state indication to the base station, wherein the preferred-UE-state indication indicates the connected state to be the preferred UE-state of the UE. The determination whether to transmit the preferred-UE-state indication indicating a connected state is based on a characteristic relating to the small data. The transmitter, when the processor determines to transmit the preferred-UE-state indication, performs the transmission of the small data with the preferred-UE-state indication to the base station.

  • Publication number: 20240007978
Abstract: The present invention relates to selection of synchronization source among various synchronization sources which include sources determining the synchronization signal from the network such as base stations (network nodes) or user equipments which receive the synchronization signal possibly over other hops from the base station, and which further includes sources which do not determine their synchronization signal from the network. The selection of the synchronization source is performed by choosing the source with the most reliable synchronization signal based on a metric calculated for each of the sources considered. In particular, the metric is based on the type of the source, number of hops between the network and the source and/or received signal quality. After selecting the source, the timing of the device is adapted accordingly.
