  • Patent number: 10754779
Abstract: A media drive is loaded with a ROM medium on which a plurality of files constituting an application are recorded. A readout block reads out data from the media drive. A memory temporarily stores the read-out data. A providing block provides the data stored in the memory to game software. A recording processing block records the data stored in the memory in an auxiliary storage device.

  • Patent number: 9529725
Abstract: [Object] To provide a technology for realizing an environment in which a user can play a game comfortably. [Solving Means] A download executing block 104 obtains a digital content from a server connected to a network. A recording processing block 106 records the digital content in an auxiliary storage device 2. The digital content is constituted of a plurality of files. Each file belongs to at least one of a plurality of groups, and at least one file belongs to each group. A determining block 108 determines where a file is recorded in the auxiliary storage device 2 in group units.

  • Patent number: 8416653
Abstract: The directory information on a file system recorded on an optical disc is cached onto a hard disk as a directory table. When accessing a file on the optical disc, a processor references the directory table so as to obtain information related to a position, on the disc medium, where the file to be accessed is located, without accessing the directory information on the optical disc. A disc I/O controller moves a pickup unit to the location indicated by the positional information on the file to be accessed and reads the data on the file. The pickup unit is used to detect signals from the optical disc.

  • Patent number: 8265301
Abstract: Audio signal processing apparatus is disclosed. The audio signal processing apparatus includes a first audio signal extracting section, a second audio signal extracting section, a sense-of-depth controlling section, a sense-of-sound-expansion controlling section, a control signal generating section, and a mixing section. The first audio signal extracting section extracts a main audio signal. The second audio signal extracting section extracts a sub audio signal. The sense-of-depth controlling section processes the extracted main audio signal to control a sense of depth. The sense-of-sound-expansion controlling section processes the extracted sub audio signal to vary a sense of sound expansion. The control signal generating section generates a first control signal with which the sense-of-depth controlling section is controlled and a second control signal with which the sense-of-sound-expansion controlling section is controlled.

  • Patent number: 7154420
Abstract: In order to decrease a required memory capacity of a line memory and to efficiently compress an image by coding, even when character information is contained in a high-resolution image, each time the block of an image that is equally divided into M (M: an arbitrary integer greater than 1) blocks in the horizontal direction is updated, difference data between color code data at corresponding pixel positions in the horizontal line and the adjacent immediately-preceding horizontal line with respect to each horizontal line within the block is detected by a line memory and an exclusive-OR circuit.
