  • Publication number: 20130172476
Abstract: Provided is a fluorine-based surfactant including a copolymer synthesized by copolymerizing, as essential monomers, a polymerizable monomer (A) having a poly(perfluoroalkylene ether) chain and polymerizable unsaturated groups at both ends of the chain and a polymerizable monomer (B) having an oxyalkylene group and a polymerizable unsaturated group. The fluorine-based surfactant cannot structurally generate PFOS or PFOA, which tend to accumulate in the environment and living bodies; even when the fluorine-based surfactant has lower fluorine content than surfactants having a fluoroalkyl group having 8 or more carbon atoms, the fluorine-based surfactant has a higher capability of decreasing surface tension than the surfactants. Accordingly, the fluorine-based surfactant can be suitably used as a leveling agent for a coating composition, a resist composition, or the like.

  • Patent number: 8409687
Abstract: A UV-curable composition for optical discs contains a fluorine-containing UV-curable resin having a poly(perfluoroalkylene ether) chain and a UV-curable group. The fluorine-containing UV-curable resin exhibits good compatibility with the composition and satisfactorily localizes in and near a surface of a coating film. Thus, the composition can be used to form an outermost layer of an optical disc such that the droplet size of grease such as that constituting fingerprints adhering to the outermost layer is reduced and scattering of light having a short oscillation wavelength passing through the outermost layer is suppressed. Accordingly, an optical disc on and from which signals can be satisfactorily recorded and read is formed.

  • Publication number: 20120227193
Abstract: A method of improving earthquake resistance of existing spillway piers provided in a dam. The method includes a following step. End portions of a main beam and top portions of existing spillway piers are connected to each other with a high damping device having a history damping property with high primary rigidity. The high damping device has a yield displacement amount in seismic velocity smaller than a tolerance of a displacement amount of the existing spillway piers. The high damping device has a yield load value in seismic velocity greater than a maximum seismic force generated therein in a bridge-axis direction due to a large-scale earthquake.

  • Patent number: 7650162
Abstract: A wireless communication system for high-speed motion use, capable of shortening the frequency channel search time and increasing the communication time available for service. The system includes an access point communicating on a designated one frequency channel and a mobile terminal communicating on the same received channel by receiving radio waves transmitted by the same access point. As for mobile terminal, in a storage, priority data is stored for a channel search in which arbitrary priorities can be set respectively for the channels. Frequency channel search sequence data, set up so that the number of times of appearance becomes greater for channels for which the priority data are set higher, are generated on the basis of the relative data, and a search of communication-capable channels is carried out in accordance with the same channel search sequence data.
