  • Publication number: 20200019266
Abstract: An object is to prevent an occurrence of an air bubble caused by an uneven part around a design print part in a peripheral edge part of a protection member in a protection member which has the design print and is disposed on a display surface of a display device or a touch panel or a display device or a touch panel in which the protection member is disposed. In a protection member, a design print is formed on a peripheral region in a substrate, a first transparent resin is formed in a region surrounded by the design print, and a second transparent resin is formed to cover the design print and the first transparent resin.

  • Publication number: 20170205277
Abstract: An uneven brightness measuring apparatus of the present invention includes a brightness measuring device, a jig, and a measurement data combiner. The brightness measuring device measures an in-plane brightness of a display surface of a measurement sample. The brightness measuring device is mounted on the jig. The jig includes a rotation mechanism to rotate the brightness measuring device about a nodal point of the brightness measuring device. The measurement data combiner combines first measurement data of a first display area in the display area and second measurement data of a second display area in the display area adjacent to the first display area. These pieces of data are obtained by the brightness measuring device. The second measurement data is obtained through measurement of the second display area by the brightness measuring device rotated in a position different from that in the measurement of the first display area.

  • Patent number: 8917263
Abstract: Provided is a method of driving a liquid crystal panel by providing a gate delay compensation period to a timing at which gate selection signal waveforms supplied to horizontal scanning interconnections change so that a switching element changes from a conduction state to a non-conduction state with respect to a timing at which image data signal waveforms supplied to data interconnections change so that image data corresponding to display contents of a pixel electrode connected to the horizontal scanning interconnections changes to next image data, wherein an ambivalent temperature is detected to make the gate delay compensation period variable in accordance with the ambivalent temperature.

  • Patent number: 6976779
Abstract: The liquid crystal display device has red, green, and blue LEDs, each emitting a different color light, as a light source. An acrylic lens is mounted on the emission surface of the LED to change angular distributions of light from the LED. The shape of the acrylic lens varies depending on the color of the LED. The angular distribution of emitting light thereby differs by the color of LED to cancel out wavelength dependency of transmittance at each viewing direction in a liquid crystal panel.
