  • Patent number: 5197734
Abstract: A crosshanded guard baton which comprises a longitudinal club and a crosshandle which is branched thereon at a place toward a club end with a branching length comparable to a breadthal length of a man's hand palm and is comprised of two or three portional grip members which are laid on slidably one another to form a stand on a mounting base on the club. This type of crosshandle is reinforced in this invention with equipment of a lightening device and/or a gas ejecting device, which are accommodated in the club interior or in the handle. Thereby, a baton carrier is convenienced in an encounter with a furious assailant in a gloomy area.

  • Patent number: 5192075
Abstract: A crosshandled guard baton which comprises a hollow club and a crosshandle which is branched thereon at a place toward a club end. The inventive guard baton is featured in accommodating at least one slender cylindrical member in the hollow space of the club, in retracted form usually, thereby so saving in the point of space or length needed to be carried by a user, and in case of need, this retracted member can extend telescopically out of the club end to form a kind of pseudo-sword, hence so convenient to the police or guard personnel.

  • Patent number: 5192074
Abstract: A crosshandled guard baton which comprises a longitudinal club and a crosshandle is branched thereon at a place toward a club end with a branching length comparable to a breadthal length of man's hand palm and is comprised of two or three portional grip members which are laid one another to form a stand on a mounting base on the club, wherein a shaft is secured on the mounting base and is extended internally of the crosshandle to reach through a top end of the upper grip, and the shaft is rotatably supported with one or two grip members while remaining grip is fastened to the shaft such that the club is turnable around the crosshandle with same spin motion of the secured grip, keeping the others in independence of a motion with the club, thereby enlarged KARATE actions being enabled, and additional improvement is directed to devices to quickly stop a swing motion of the club and to devices to shoot light or a gas for increase to defend self against an assailant.

  • Patent number: 5188362
Abstract: A police baton with crosshandle includes a baton main body and a crosshandle branched in perpendicular from the baton main at a position longitudinally localized from the center to one end of the baton main body, in which a hand guard rotatable relative to the baton main body around the crosshandle as the center of rotation thereof is disposed to the axial center of the crosshandle. The hand of a baton user gripping the crosshandle can always be protected by the hand guard.

  • Patent number: 5108097
Abstract: A multi-functional police baton comprising a baton main body having a gripping portion at one end in the longitudinal direction, an attachment having a ring-like insertion portion through which the baton main body is inserted and which is detachably fit to a base end position of the gripping portion and an extended portion extended sideways from the insertion portion, and a coupling device of a male and female paired structure comprising a latch of a movable structure for inhibiting the axial movement and a device for engagement with the latch, in which one of the components of the coupling device is disposed to the baton main body, while the other of the components of the coupling device is disposed to the insertion portion of the attachment. The extended portion of the attachment can be optionally selected from various kinds of forms, depending on which the functions of the police baton can be varied.

  • Patent number: 5108098
Abstract: A police baton with crosshandle comprises a baton main body and a crosshandle branched in perpendicular from the baton main body at a position longitudinally displaced from the center to one end of the baton main body, wherein at least one of shooting devices for light, acoustic wave, electromagnetic wave, gas, liquid and solid is mounted to the crosshandle relatively rotatably to the baton main body around the crosshandle as a center of rotation. The crosshandle may have a static member secured to the baton main body and a relatively rotational member. Magnets may be disposed and to the mating faces of the static member and the relatively rotational member for controlling the pointing direction of the shooting device. The shooting device can always be directed to an opponent irrespective of the manipulation to the police baton.

  • Patent number: 4964636
Abstract: A guard baton which comprises a longitudinal club having a crosshandle transversely branched at a place toward a club end and the crosshandle is connected such that the club can be turned around the crosshandle wherein the turnable club is slidably contacted with main portion of the crosshandle at a plane adjacent to the mounting base, thereby enlarged KARATE actions being enable, and additional improvement is directed to devices to quickly stop a swing motion of the club and to devices to shoot light or a gas for increase to defend self against an assailant.
