  • Publication number: 20160164397
Abstract: A flyback converter is provided that includes a base driver for driving a base current into a base of a BJT power switch. The base driver is controlled so as to adaptively vary the base current across at least some of the pulses.

  • Publication number: 20160164421
Abstract: A switching power converter is provided that includes a detector to detect whether a controller power supply voltage has fallen below a threshold voltage during a dormant period in which a power switch is no longer cycling to deliver power to a load. In response to a detection of such a threshold crossing by the detector, a controller powered by the controller power supply voltage is configured to cycle the power switch to replenish the controller power supply voltage.

  • Patent number: 7443700
Abstract: A primary side sensing power control system and method for constant current control that utilizes a relationship that involves the measured reset-time from the previous cycle to determine the primary side peak current and off-time for the next cycle. This control mechanism does not need the knowledge of input voltage or magnetizing inductance. Therefore, it removes the sensitivities of input voltage and magnetizing inductance to the output current limit. Furthermore, it uses a time measurement instead of a voltage measurement for the current calculation which in many cases is easier to perform.

  • Publication number: 20070137302
Abstract: An apparatus for the ultrasonic testing of internal areas of prefabricated composite assemblies as described. The composite assemblies have one or more internal areas formed therein. The apparatus includes at least one receive transducer, at least one transmit transducer, a vertical member, a support member slidably attached to the vertical member, a pair of substantially parallel hollow rods, and an ultrasonic testing system. Each rod comprises a transducer attachment end with receive transducers attached to the transducer attachment end of a first rod, and transmit transducers attached to the transducer attachment end of a second rod. The rods are slidably attached to the support member and manually movable with respect to a composite assembly to be tested. The ultrasonic testing system is coupled to the receive transducers through the first rod, and coupled to the transmit transducers through the second rod.

  • Publication number: 20070044564
Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods for inspecting a structure are provided which use a sensor holder, which is configured to support one or more curved linear inspection sensors and may be constructed from rapid prototyping, such as stereolithography. Integrated curved linear ultrasonic transducer inspection apparatus, systems, and methods provide fast and efficient methods of constructing custom inspection devices and inspecting otherwise difficult-to-inspect curved radius features of structures, such as a corner of a hat stringer.

  • Publication number: 20060243051
Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods for inspecting a structure are provided which permit inspection of uniquely shaped structures such as fuselage frames and shear ties. Probes may be constructed from rapid prototyping. Inspection may be performed manually and may use a portable function support system for delivering fluid couplant, controlling transmit and receive functions of the inspection sensors, and delivering immediate visual analysis for an operator. Integrated ultrasonic inspection apparatus, systems, and methods facilitate fast and efficient custom inspection devices and inspecting otherwise difficult-to-inspect structures.

  • Publication number: 20050060646
Abstract: The invention is a method for Web authors to include a redirection tag in an HTML data object tag that redirects an application program to an alternative source file that stores underlying data associated with an HTML data object that a user has selected to import into the application program. Typically, HTML data objects in Web page are stored in HTML format. However, when a user selects an HTML object to import, they generally expect to import the data in the format that it was originally created in, such as XML. The redirection tag “redirects” the application program to an alternative source file where the underlying data is stored in a rich format, such as XML. The application program then imports the underlying data of the HTML data object from the alternative source file.
