    Abstract: An article holding device is formed of an outer casing to be attached to a mounting hole of a member to be attached and having a first engaging portion at an inner wall surface, and a core including a main body to be inserted into the outer casing and a second engaging portion provided on an outer wall surface of the main body and engaging the first engaging portion in an assembled condition that the main body is inserted to a predetermined position of the outer casing. A protruding portion is formed at a side wall of the main body to engage the hook inserted into the core. The hook is located in the core and is pushed, so that the hook presses a bottom wall of the core, and the core is inserted into the outer casing and assembled therewith. In this assembled condition, outer wall surfaces of the elastic engaging portions abut against a narrow width portion of the outer casing to thereby strongly hold the hook.
