  • Publication number: 20180176662
Abstract: There is provided a data communication apparatus adapted for use with a kitchen appliance. The communication apparatus includes (a) a bus interface that is adapted for connection to a bus within the kitchen appliance, (b) a network interface that is addressable at an address in a network, (c) a processor, and (d) a memory that contains instructions that are readable by the processor to cause the processor to (i) receive, via the bus interface, raw data that represents an operating parameter of the kitchen appliance, (ii) receive a request from a user device via the network interface, (iii) convert the raw data into formatted data, (iv) incorporate the formatted data into a page that is presentable on the user device via a web browser that is installed in the user device, and (v) send the page to the user device via the network interface.

  • Patent number: 6178180
Abstract: A communications adapter card provides an interface for a TI or E1 transmission line and a signal processing circuit which can be programmed to process receive and transmit data in either an ISDN or an ATM format. Preferably, two such interfaces and two such signal processing circuits are provided on the card, so that a single adapter card can be used for attachment to both an ISDN network and to an ATM network. Each signal processing circuit includes a pair of DSPs, each of which has a two port buffer extending to a parallel bus. All such DSPs are connected to a data bus. The DSPs in each signal processing circuit execute programs to operate in either an ATM mode or an ISDN mode.

  • Patent number: 5818819
Abstract: Disclosed are call processing methods which are performed by a network terminator located at a subscriber's premises. The network terminator is coupled to a digital network and a communication device at the subscriber's premises and can perform call waiting, caller identification, call conferencing without intervention from a telco's switching system that requires an additional charge to the subscriber for these services. In addition, the network terminator can perform a method which allows two digital communication devices coupled to one S-bus to share a communication session. In another embodiment, up to a six way conference call can be established with an analog telephone coupled to an ISDN network via the network terminator of the present invention.
