    Abstract: Apparatuses relating to a microelectronic package are disclosed. In one such apparatus, a substrate has first contacts on an upper surface thereof. A microelectronic die has a lower surface facing the upper surface of the substrate and having second contacts on an upper surface of the microelectronic die. Wire bonds have bases joined to the first contacts and have edge surfaces between the bases and corresponding end surfaces. A first portion of the wire bonds are interconnected between a first portion of the first contacts and the second contacts. The end surfaces of a second portion of the wire bonds are above the upper surface of the microelectronic die. A dielectric layer is above the upper surface of the substrate and between the wire bonds. The second portion of the wire bonds have uppermost portions thereof bent over to be parallel with an upper surface of the dielectric layer.

Directions of magnetic fluxes generated in the first outer coil, the second outer coil, and the inner coil are opposite to each other in any combination. In a three-phase operation, the control device controls a value of the current flowing through the inner coil so as to approach values of the currents flowing through the first outer coil and the second outer coil.

The magnetic pole position estimation unit acquires maximum and minimum values of the phase current while the synchronous motor is stopped, calculates a first magnetic pole position from a subtracted value of an absolute value of the maximum and minimum values, calculates a second magnetic pole position from an added value of the absolute value of the maximum and minimum values, discriminates a polarity of a magnet of the rotor, and estimates an initial magnetic pole position of the rotor from the polarity and the second magnetic pole position.

The backplate and the fan cover collectively form an air guide that directs a flow of cooling air generated by the engine cooling fan through the one or more air flow passages of the backplate and to the engine.
