  • Publication number: 20130103405
Abstract: An operation determination processing section of a center extracts words included in the utterance of a driver and an operator, reads an attribute associated with each word from a synonym and related word in which an attribute is stored so as to be associated with each word, reads a domain of a candidate or the like for the task associated with the attribute from the synonym and related word in which domains of a candidate for a task associated with the read attribute or domains of a task to be actually performed are stored, totals the domains read for each word for words included in the utterance of the driver or the like, and estimates those related to a domain with a highest total score as the candidate for the task and the task to be actually performed. In this manner, it is possible to estimate the task with high accuracy.

  • Patent number: 8306921
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are described for assisting a requestor to identify and reserve a resource that meets the need of the requestor's request. For example, a request can be augmented using augmentation data, such as current position and requestor preferences, and resources are located and ranked according to their match against the augmented request. A person who is the requestor may engage in another attention demanding task, such as driving a car, while resources well matched to preferences are located. Preference data may be determined from social network data, a preference file, and/or other sources.

  • Publication number: 20120232741
Abstract: An eco-driving probability density estimation unit and an eco-driving awareness pre-learning unit resets an evaluation standard of driving of a driver of a host vehicle for each condition in which the host vehicle is driven for each driving evaluation. Therefore, it becomes possible to set the evaluation standard of the driving in accordance with an actual condition during evaluation compared to a case where the standard for uniformly evaluating the driving is set. An eco-driving capability/proficiency estimation unit and an eco-driving awareness estimation unit evaluate the driving of the driver of the host vehicle by the evaluation standard reset by the eco-driving probability density estimation unit and the eco-driving awareness pre-learning unit. Therefore, it becomes possible to perform driving evaluation more suitable for the actual condition.

  • Publication number: 20120221215
Abstract: A vehicle information processing unit 16 collects vehicle information, which is information relating to the discharge amount of exhaust gas of at least one at any of a predetermined point, a predetermined section, and a predetermined period of time. An ecological traveling history DB 26 accumulates the vehicle information collected by the vehicle information processing unit 16 for each point through which the vehicle has traveled. A display device 30 displays the vehicle information accumulated in the ecological traveling history DB 26 by an image on a map including each point for each point through which the vehicle has traveled. Therefore, it becomes possible to allow a driver to recognize previous traveling performance at the point through which the vehicle has traveled, and to more effectively provide the driver with a guide or a motivation to perform ecological traveling, thereby providing a more useful in-vehicle apparatus which allows the driver to perform ecological traveling.

  • Publication number: 20120209453
Abstract: A check point calculation unit evaluates the driving of a driver in a travel segment where a host vehicle has traveled and extracts a check point where the driving evaluation does not meet a predetermined evaluation standard, thereby obtaining data representing a point in the travel segment where the driving evaluation is lowered. An advice generation unit provides maneuver support to the driver on the basis of the check point. When there is the check point in the traveling direction host vehicle, the advice generation unit provides maneuver support at the check point such that the driving evaluation by the check point calculation unit meets a predetermined evaluation standard, thereby improving the driving evaluation at the check point where the driving evaluation is low and improving the driving evaluation as a whole.

  • Patent number: 8099208
Abstract: A driving diagnosis apparatus temporarily records a diagnosis result of the user before changed when a user is switched, and starts to diagnose the user after changed. Accordingly, since driving status of each user is independently diagnosed, the diagnosis result is proper. Further, when a driving distance of the vehicle is smaller than a threshold, the diagnosis result of a driving interval is not recorded so that the driving interval is removed from an object of giving a point. Influence to environment is also considered in evaluation of the driving status. Accordingly, in the driving diagnosis apparatus and a driving diagnosis system for diagnosing driving status and for evaluating a driver based on the diagnosis result, the diagnosis and the evaluation are properly performed.

  • Publication number: 20110145290
Abstract: A route searching apparatus includes a travel route accumulation unit, an algorithm selection unit to select route searching algorithms to meet the preference of a user based on the accumulated travel routes, and a route searching unit to perform a route search up to a destination by using the selected algorithms. Preferably, the algorithm searching unit searches for each of the travel routes accumulated in the accumulation unit by means of several algorithms, calculates, for each algorithm, a match rate between the searched route and the actual travel route, and selects an algorithm of the highest match rate. Also, it is preferable that a condition common to roads avoided by the user is extracted from the accumulated travel routes, and a route search is performed by adjusting search costs so as to make such roads less prone to be selected.

  • Publication number: 20100332130
Abstract: A vehicle navigation apparatus determines whether or not the currently traveled route having a current vehicle position matches with estimated routes after determining, on the basis of the traveled route history, the estimated routes which correspond to destination candidates. Then, the navigation apparatus further determines whether or not the subsequent portion of the estimated route overlaps with other estimated route, for selecting one of the destination candidates. The vehicle navigation apparatus thus selects the destination candidate, in a highly accurate manner in terms of user preference, based on the traveled route history.
