Abstract: A communication system for realizing a secure communication comprises a selecting device for making a selection between a communication route for a direct communication with a communication partner side and a communication route via a security checking device for checking security of communication, in accordance with a communication partner or an application corresponding to the communication. Also, the communication system comprises a device for marking a communication packet for route selection in order that the selecting device conducts a route selection in accordance with contents of the marking.

Abstract: An imaging section inputs rays of light from a subject through a lens and forms an image of the subject. A display screen of a display section displays an image of a subject focused by the lens. A focus area selecting section selects one of a plurality of focus areas displayed on the display screen. A focus adjusting section adjusts a focus on the subject in the selected focus area. A crop section automatically selects a crop area corresponding to the selected focus area and captures as a crop image an image in the selected crop area. The photographer can easily obtain a crop image by photographing a subject according to a conventional procedure.

Abstract: A camera according to the present invention is provided with a view point information detection circuit that detects information related to the distribution of the view points of a photographer within the photographic field and issues signals related to the result of that detection, a composition quality estimation circuit that estimates whether or not a given composition is good based upon the signal issued from the view point information detection circuit and then issues signals related to the result of that estimation, and a warning device that issues a warning when the signal indicating poor composition has been issued from the composition quality estimation circuit.

Abstract: A cylindrical covering fabric for a damping form roller of an offset printing machine is manufactured by weaving, as ground yarn, yarns composed of polyurethane fibers drafted to at least twice of free length, water-soluble fibers and water-insoluble fibers coiling around the above-mentioned polyurethane fiber and water-soluble fiber and, as pile yarn, hydrophilic fibers. The covering fabric is firmly mounted on a damping form roller by immersing the roller covered by the fabric in water to remove the water-soluble fibers from the ground yarns, followed by shrinking of the polyurethane fibers.
