  • Publication number: 20210108547
Abstract: A reactor is located in a gas gathering chamber through which exhaust gas in an exhaust system flows curvedly. An addition agent is sprayed against the reactor from upstream of the chamber to facilitate gasification through heat receiving. Rectification vanes are arrayed in a direction bisecting an angle formed by inflow and outflow directions of the exhaust gas and a support for supporting opposite ends of each of the vanes. Opposite ends of the vanes are inserted into slots on slanting sides of opposite side walls in the support to provide installed state. The vanes in the installed state are adapted to provide mounted postures along the flow of the exhaust gas.

Abstract: An upstream portion of a communication passage 16 in an exhaust emission control device has a gas gathering chamber 16A encircling and gathering exhaust gas 1 from an exit end of a particulate filter 3 through perpendicular turnabout of the gas 1 and a communication pipe 16B extracting the gas 1 gathered by the chamber 16A through an exhaust outlet 17 into an entry side of a selective reduction catalyst 4. An injector 18 is in the passage 16 to add urea water into the gas flow. The injector 18 is fixed to the chamber 16A in a position opposed to the outlet 17 and in a direction perpendicular to an axis of the filter 3. The outlet 17 of the chamber 16A has a reactor 19 into which the reducing agent injected by the injector 18 is impinged to facilitate gasification of the gas 1.

  • Publication number: 20200040791
Abstract: Disclosed is an exhaust emission control device having a particulate filter 3 and a selective reduction catalyst 4 arranged in parallel with each other such that entry sides of them are directed in a same direction. A communication passage 16 is arranged to oppositely turn exhaust gas 1 from an exit side of the selective reduction filter 3 into the entry side of the adjacent selective reduction catalyst 4. The urea water (reducing agent) is addable upstream of the communication passage 16. The communication passage 16 is stepwisely turned to the entry side of the adjacent selective reduction catalyst 4 through bending portions x and y downstream of an added position of the urea water. At least the most upstream bending portion x is formed to have a bending angle when viewed from an axial direction of the selective reduction filter 3.

  • Publication number: 20190376430
Abstract: Provided are gas dispersion portion 7C covering entry end face of selective reduction catalyst 4 (aftertreatment device) and introducing exhaust gas 1 through exhaust feed port 11 from direction substantially perpendicular to axis of aftertreatment device and mixing pipe 7B (exhaust conduit) curved from exhaust feed port 11 in the gas dispersion portion 7C toward exit side of the selective reduction catalyst 4 to extend axially of aftertreatment device. Gas dispersion portion 7C is of crushingly deformed shape to ensure area from exhaust feed port 11 to vicinity of extension of axis of the selective reduction catalyst 4 as fan-likely spreading flow guide space 12, remaining area being flat throttling space 13 close to entry end face of selective reduction catalyst 4. Boundary between throttling and flow guide spaces 13 and 12 in crushing deformed shape is formed as arc-like taper slope 14.

  • Patent number: 10138788
Abstract: A lattice board is obliquely arranged in a bent portion halfway in an exhaust pipe where exhaust gas flows curvedly so as to bisect an angle made by inflow and outflow directions the exhaust gas entered upstream of and discharged downstream of the bent portion, respectively. An injector is arranged in the outflow direction of the exhaust gas to inject urea water to an entry side of the lattice board such that flow passage walls of the lattice board on which hit is the exhaust gas from upstream has rear surfaces on which hit is a spray of urea water from the injector.
