  • Patent number: 8268231
Abstract: This invention is intended to lower a temperature of a high-temperature exhaust gas to a desired temperature, while effectively suppressing adhesion of melting components and dusts in the high-temperature exhaust gas onto an inner wall of a cooling tower. For this purpose, a method of the present invention comprises an introduction step of introducing a high-temperature exhaust gas into a cooling tower through a gas duct, and a cooling step of sparging cooling water to the high-temperature exhaust gas in the cooling tower to cool the high-temperature exhaust gas. During the introduction step, the high-temperature exhaust gas is introduced into the cooling tower through the gas duct comprising two gas duct lines, in such a manner that respective portions of the high-temperature exhaust gas from the two gas duct lines become equal to each other in flow velocity and flow volume.

  • Publication number: 20120214118
Abstract: Provided is a rotary hearth furnace which can stir exhaust gas within a furnace, to efficiently burn flammable gas within the exhaust gas and to efficiently heat an object to be heated, and which can contribute to reduction of specific energy consumption and improvement of productivity. A rotary hearth furnace (1) has therein a series of zone spaces (3) which are divided by vertical walls (2) hanging from a ceiling (1c). Among the zone spaces (3), the zone space to which an exhaust gas duct (4) is attached is constructed as an exhaust zone (3a). An oxygen-containing gas supply unit (5) is provided in the vicinity of the lower edge of the vertical wall (2) which divides the exhaust zone (3a) from the other zone spaces (3). Further, the exhaust gas duct (4) is disposed on the outer periphery side or the inner periphery side from the center of the width of the zone space (3).

  • Patent number: 7091870
Abstract: A terminal system has a mass spectrometric for inspecting of dangerous substances is installed in an inspection area, and a support system for determining whether or not a dangerous substance is present and identifying the type of the substance, based on the mass spectrometric data on the target element that has been measured by the mass spectrometric, is installed in a security service enterprise's office. Both systems are connected to each other via a communication network so that they can exchange information. Thus, the support system can send the determination result of dangerous substances and a precautions guide to the terminal system via the communication network.

  • Patent number: 6998067
Abstract: A method of dusting-preventive treatment in which a powder having dusting property is treated with fibril-forming PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) to impart non-dusting property thereto and the non-dusting property of the powder, after having been reduced during transportation, are economically and advantageously recovered or improved through a relatively simple step. The method comprises: a first dusting-preventive treatment step in which fibril-forming polytetrafluoroethylene is added to a powder having dusting property, and a compression/shear force is exerted to the mixture at a temperature in the range of 20 to 200° C. to thereby regulate powder so as to have a flow value of 150 mm to 200 mm; and a second dusting-preventive treatment step in which a compression/shear force is exerted again at a temperature in the range of 50 to 150° C.

  • Publication number: 20030009661
Abstract: A terminal system 1 which has mass spectrometric means for inspecting for dangerous substances is installed in an inspection area, and a support system 2 for determining whether or not a dangerous substance is present and identifying the type of the substance, based on the mass spectrometric data on the target element that has been measured by said mass spectrometric means, is installed in a security service enterprise's office. Both systems are connected to each other via a communication network so that they can exchange information. Thus, the support system 2 can send the determination result of dangerous substances and a precautions guide to the terminal system 1 via said communication network 3. The security service enterprise conducts equipment management, such as maintenance and checkups, and operation administration of the security system, thereby making it easier for a user to introduce this security system.

  • Patent number: 4891570
Abstract: A static var compensator which includes a transformer with one end connected to an electric power system and a series circuit constituted by a reactor and a thyristor bulb connected between the other end of the transformer and ground. A voltage detection device detects the voltage of the electric power system and the output of the voltage detection device is sample an even number of times for every cycle of the voltage. A register is provided for storing sampled values an adder is provided for adding absolute values of the sampled values stored in the register. A firing angle of the thyristor bulb is controlled by a control device in accordance with a deviation of an output of the adder from an output of a voltage setting device. A deviation deriving device obtains a deviation of an output of the control device from a predetermined value corresponding to a present var, and an output of the deviation deriving devices is fed back to an input side of the control device.
