Abstract: An automatic tool exchanging machine include a machine body such as gear box, a tool exchanging arm having a tool grasping member and supported by the machine body to be rotatable and to be linearly reciprocally movable in an axial direction of a rotation shaft of the machine body, a rotation drive mechanism provided for the machine body, and a power transmission mechanism for transmitting a driving power of the rotation drive mechanism to the tool exchanging arm. The power transmission mechanism is provided with a motion conversion mechanism for converting a rotational motion of the rotation drive mechanism including servo-motors to a linear reciprocal motion of the tool exchanging arm and the motion conversion mechanism is composed of a feed screw mechanism. The feed screw mechanism is a ball screw mechanism.

Abstract: A machine tool has a spindle with a tooling body mounted thereon, a detector for detecting an acceleration time for the tooling body to reach from a rotation start to a predetermined rpm, a controller for controlling an rpm of the spindle under a lowered limit when the acceleration time is longer than a reference time. Another detector detects an asymmetricity of radial forces acting on the spindle, and the controller controls the rpm of the spindle under a lowered limit when the asymmetricity of radial forces exceeds a reference degree.

Abstract: A working system comprises a machining center numerically controlled, a pallet stocker disposed in the vicinity of the machining center and storing a number of pallets therein, a preparatory station for setting-up work on a pallet, a conveying unit for automatically conveying the pallet from the pallet stocker to the preparatory station or the machining center, and a control apparatus for controlling an operation of the working system.

Abstract: An automatic pallet changer comprising a reciprocating device (11) which is moved in a reciprocating motion toward a machine side and arranged between at least two pallet stations (13a) and (13b) on a pallet supporting base (10), pallet engaging device (17 to 20) which are provided at two points at the front of and at two points at the back of the reciprocating device (11) and adapted to detachably engage engaging portions (23) of the pallets (1a, 1b), a first driving device (31 to 36) for driving the reciprocating device and a second driving device (37 to 39) for driving the pallet engaging devices (17 to 20).
