  • Publication number: 20060065171
Abstract: A mounting base on which a stacked bundle of multiple planographic printing plates can be loaded and bound with a binding member that is wound around and can be lifted and transported from the lower portion with a lifting component is provided. The mounting base is provided with a space into which the lifting component can be inserted, and a guard portion on an outer surface of the mounting base that prevents contact between the binding member and the lifting component. The guard component can be made such that it is removable from the outer surface of the mounting base.

  • Patent number: 5992280
Abstract: A perforator for presensitized plate has plural punches and a die array cooperating with the punches. A stripper plate retains the plate adjacent the die array when punches separate from the die array after the punches form punched holes in the plate. The punches and/or the die array is coated with non-crystalline hard carbon. The punched holes are formed in the plate. In a preferred embodiment, the coating of the punches and/or die array has a surface whose roughness is 0.8 .mu.m or less. A clearance defined between the punches and the die array is 10 to 30% of the thickness of the plate. Each advancing end of the punches is provided with a cylindrical tip portion of lesser width than the rest of the punch. The stripper plate is provided with a cushioning material mounted for contact with the plate.

  • Patent number: 5975745
Abstract: A web cutting apparatus has a decurling unit for correcting curl of a web unwound from a reel while the web is being fed, a slitter for slitting the web, a cutter for cutting the web into successive sheets each having a predetermined length, a curl measuring unit disposed at an exit end of the runner cutter, and a conveyor for conveying the sheets to a stacker station. The curl measuring unit has a cut completion detecting mechanism for detecting when the web is cut by the cutter, a cutter distance measuring mechanism for detecting the position of the cutter, and a web displacement measuring mechanism for detecting a displacement due to a bend of a free distal end of the web.

  • Patent number: 5907946
Abstract: An opening part cuts a periphery of a package which contains a bundle of PS (photosensitive) plates. Then, a lifter separates a top piece of the package from the bundle of the PS plates, and a cartridge body, which has been transferred by the lifter, is put on the bundle of the PS plates from which the top piece of the package has been separated. An inverter inverts the top and bottom faces of the bundle of the PS plates covered with the cartridge body, and then, the lifter separates the bottom piece of the package from the bundle of the PS plates. A cartridge lid, which is transferred by the lifter, is put on the bundle of the PS plates from which the bottom piece of the package has been separated.
