  • Patent number: 8800095
Abstract: The present invention relates to a wiper apparatus in which it is easy to replace a wiper blade without this leading to any erroneous operation. When a wiper operation has been stopped by a wiper driving apparatus 31, the wiper driving apparatus causes the wiper arms to first move to a housing position and then stops the wiper arms. When wiper blades are to be replaced, an IG switch 33 is turned off during a wiper operation. If the IG switch 33 is turned off while the wiper arms are within a first stopping range, then the wiper arms are stopped at that position and the blades are replaced. If the wiper arms are stopped outside the first stopping range, then they are first moved to a bottom inverted position or a housing position and are then stopped.

  • Patent number: 8286525
Abstract: A gear including a gear shaft, and a gear wheel made of a resin material, the gear wheel being fixed to the gear shaft by molding. The gear having a plurality of concave portions and convex portions that repeat in a circumferential direction. The plurality of concave and convex portions are arranged such that they extend in the axial direction of the gear shaft, and arranged such that the convex portions of one concave and convex group are adjacent to the concave portions of the other concave and convex group. Due to the relative displacement of the concave portions and the convex portions, stepped portions are formed at a boundary between the concave and convex groups in the circumferential direction of the gear shaft.

  • Patent number: 6410849
Abstract: A wiper motor device, in which a drive circuit portion and an output shaft are disposed adjacent to each other, capable of preventing water from reaching the drive circuit portion in a case where water invades along the output shaft, using an extension portion in which a cylindrical portion is externally fitted to the output shaft extends from the cover surrounding the upper opening of a casing which accommodates the drive circuit portion, and the lower part of a waterproof cap attached to the output shaft is externally fitted to the upper end part of the cylindrical portion.

  • Patent number: 5506461
Abstract: A brush assembly structure for a motor has a brush holder integrally formed in substantially a C-shape so that free ends of leg portions of the brush holder are positioned at diametrically opposed side positions of a commutator. Brush accommodation units are formed at the free ends of the leg portions. Brush springs are attached to the cylindrical bottom portion of a holder stay unit. The brush springs elastically depress brushes accommodated in the brush accommodation units at the moment when the brushes reach the diametrical side positions of the commutator. When the brush unit is assembled to the holder stay unit in accordance with the invention, the brushes are protected during assembly and an assembly job is simplified.
