Abstract: An optical fiber feedthrough includes a tubular-shaped sleeve and an elastic tube. The sleeve includes a through hole extending in an axial direction and is mountable to a package such that an end portion thereof on one side is located on an inner side of the package and an end portion thereof on an other side is located on an outer side of the package. The elastic tube includes an insertion portion entering the inside of the through hole from an outer end portion being an end portion on the other side of the through hole, and a projection portion projecting to the outside from the outer end portion. An optical fiber is insertable into the through hole and the elastic tube, and an outer peripheral surface of the elastic tube and an inner peripheral surface of the through hole are fixed to each other with an adhesive.

Abstract: A data transfer apparatus includes a first connection unit, a second connection unit, a first storage unit, a second storage unit and a processor. The first connection unit is connected to a network card. The second connection unit is connected to a board on which a processor and a memory are mounted. The processor obtains an identifier of the network card connected to the first connection unit. The first storage unit stores a first identifier obtained by the processor. The second storage unit stores a second identifier different from the first identifier obtained by the processor when the first identifier is stored in the first storage unit. When the second identifier is assigned to data input from the first connection unit, the processor replaces the second identifier assigned to the data with the first identifier, and outputs the data via the second connection unit.

Abstract: A storage system is constructed by a hierarchy of a primary storage device and a secondary storage device. A storage system has a hierarchy of a primary storage device, secondary storage devices and a storage processor, an emulator device for emulating an identifier of a maintenance target unit. The emulator device is installed between the installation port of the maintenance target unit and the maintenance target unit, so that the storage system cannot recognize changes even if the maintenance target unit is replaced. By this, a complicated setup operation required to replace the maintenance target unit becomes unnecessary, and operation errors can be prevented.
