  • Patent number: 8784112
Abstract: The present invention relates to a tooth which is used in a dental arch model with which dental students can experience dental works in the oral cavity and practice treatments. More specifically, the present invention relates to a tooth composition for formation trainings such as abutment tooth formation and cavity preparation. Since conventionally used dental arch models have a grinding sensation different from a natural tooth, dental students having completed formation trainings such as abutment tooth formation and cavity preparation by using these conventional models are frequently puzzled to have different grinding and handling properties upon dental works in the oral cavity in practice. That is, these conventional dental arch models are largely different from a natural tooth in grinding sensation including slipperiness and easiness in grinding.

  • Patent number: 8354994
Abstract: A dispersion medium is filled in a display section and is dispersed with charged particles that migrates in accordance with a direction of an electric field. An image forming section applies, upon receiving an image forming request, an electric voltage between a first electrode and a second electrode to generate the electric field in the dispersion medium, thereby performing an image forming operation. A refresh controlling section switches, before the image forming section performs the image forming operation, the direction of the electric field alternately at predetermined timing to uniformly disperse the charged particles in the dispersion medium, thereby performing a refresh operation. An image-formation-elapsed-time measuring section measures a first elapsed time from a previous image forming operation performed by the image forming section until the image forming request.

  • Patent number: 8065683
Abstract: In a work-process tracking system, each of event-data collecting threads collects event data from each of work systems. A storing thread stores the event data collected in a database. When a termination instruction is received, a thread in operation is terminated. For example, when an instruction to start (or terminate) an event-data collecting process is received, a control unit initiates (or terminates) the event-data collecting thread. Similarly, when an instruction to start (or terminate) a storing process, the control unit initiates (or terminates) the storing thread.
