  • Publication number: 20080001825
Abstract: In a case where an ASK method is used for a communication method between a semiconductor device and a reader/writer, the amplitude of a radio signal is changed by data transmitted from the semiconductor device to the reader/writer when data is not transmitted from the reader/writer to the semiconductor device. Therefore, in some cases, the semiconductor device mistakes data transmitted from the semiconductor device itself for data transmitted from the reader/writer to the semiconductor device. The semiconductor device includes an antenna circuit, a transmission circuit, a reception circuit, and an arithmetic processing circuit. The antenna circuit transmits and receives a radio signal. The transmission circuit outputs to the reception circuit a signal showing whether or not the antenna circuit is transmitting the radio signal.

  • Publication number: 20070297214
Abstract: To provide a semiconductor device in which power consumption at the time of an anti-collision operation is reduced. A semiconductor device includes an arithmetic circuit, a storage device, and circuits for transmitting and receiving signals to and from the outside. The arithmetic circuit includes a central processing unit and a controller. The central processing unit executes a program for using the controller to reduce power consumption when a signal is transmitted to the outside. The program has a structure which includes a plurality of routines. Representatively, the program includes a command determination routine, a UID value processing routine, a mask value comparison routine, an N-slot power consumption reduction routine, an N-slot counter routine, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20070273522
Abstract: A position detection system is formed by network connection of a plurality of interrogators and a server. An RFID and the interrogators communicate wirelessly, whereby a distance from each interrogator to the RFID is searched to search a position of the RFID from the distance. In order to calculate the distance from the interrogator to the RFID, a signal is oscillated with a frequency corresponding to amplitude of a signal received in the RFID from the interrogator. A frequency of a signal oscillated in the RFID is detected in the RFID or by the interrogator, whereby a distance from the interrogator to the RFID is detected.

  • Publication number: 20070180285
Abstract: To make it difficult to obtain a secret key from a power change or EM emission intercepted when an IC card encounters a power analysis attack or an electromagnetic wave analysis attack. An arithmetic circuit and a circuit for transmitting/receiving a signal to/from outside are included. The arithmetic circuit includes a central processing unit, an auxiliary arithmetic unit, a random number generator, and a read only memory. The read only memory stores a program for processing of blocking a side-channel attack in signal transmission/reception to/from outside. By additionally providing the random number generator and the auxiliary arithmetic unit, time change of physical data which leaks from an IC chip can be made more complex. This operation is executed by the program. Therefore, it takes time to obtain inside data from physical data intercepted by the third party, thereby security can be improved.

  • Publication number: 20070126059
Abstract: An object is to provide a semiconductor device which includes an anti-collision function during or after production of an IC chip just by a change of a program, even when there is a change of a specification of a product accompanying a change of the kind or standard of a signal of a wireless means for each product. A semiconductor device includes an arithmetic circuit and a circuit for transmitting/receiving a signal to/from outside. The arithmetic circuit includes a central processing unit, a random access memory, a read only memory, and a controller. The read only memory stores a program for processing collision avoidance in transmitting/receiving the signal to/from outside. The program is executed in the central processing unit, so that the arithmetic circuit processes collision avoidance.

  • Publication number: 20070040822
Abstract: It is an object to provide a semiconductor device in which a correct video signal is inputted into a display regardless of whether a luminance signal and a color-difference signal, or a three-primary color signal of R, G, and B is inputted as a video signal and which is also applied to the case of a digital video signal, and a driving method thereof. The display device includes a display panel, and a video format conversion circuit.

  • Publication number: 20070029994
Abstract: The invention provides an inspection method of a semiconductor device which receives a test program wirelessly. As an inspection method of the semiconductor device, a test program is transmitted as a communication signal for every test. By transmitting a test program as a communication signal wirelessly in the case of an operation test, test contents are changed as required. As a result, a test program can be easily changed and an inspection circuit or the like is not required. In this manner, manufacturing cost of a wireless chip can be reduced.
