Abstract: There is provided a display device capable of preventing leakage of a drive current generated between adjacent subpixels. A display device including a first electrode layer having a plurality of electrodes arranged two-dimensionally, a second electrode layer provided to face the first electrode layer, an electroluminescence layer provided between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer, and an insulating layer provided between the electrodes adjacent to each other. The electroluminescence layer includes a hole transport layer, and the hole transport layer is adjacent to the insulating layer. An energy level Einterface(1) at an interface between the insulating layer and the hole transport layer and an energy level Ebulk(1) in a bulk of the hole transport layer satisfy the following Formula (1).
