    Abstract: A clutch disc assembly holding a diaphragm spring using a pair of wire rings clamped by bent tabs of a clutch cover or stud pins, and having a coned disc spring for controlling an increase in a releasing load due to wear of facings of a clutch. An annular coned disc spring urging an outer peripheral portion of the diaphragm spring to a side opposite to the clutch disc is disposed between a pressure plate and the diaphragm spring. An annular support plate is provided and its inner peripheral portion is held between the bent tabs of the clutch cover and the pair of wire rings. The coned disc spring is held by an outer peripheral portion of the support plate and the outer peripheral portion of the diaphragm spring in an elastically deflected condition.

    Abstract: A pressure plate for pressing the friction facing of a clutch disc to the flywheel is connected to an operating part through a mechanical link mechanism. A part to be detected which moves by the extent corresponding to the shift of the pressure plate in the clutch axial direction is disposed in the link mechanism. A contact-free sensor for detecting the part to be detected is disposed in the stationary part of the clutch, and when the clutch is connected with the abrasing facing worn to a specific limit, the sensor is designed to detect the part to be detected. There is a control part for receiving the detection signal from the sensor, and a display part is provided to tell that the control part has received the detection signal.

    Abstract: A clutch cover assembly for passenger car or the like comprising a pressure plate (10, 113) having a series of projections (11, 125) and a damper member (20,127) for a gradual engagement. According to the first aspect of the invention, the damper member is in the form of a series of wave wires forming into a bow-shaped wire rod alonging in the circumferential direction and having projections rising in an axial direction for preventing a partial abrasion of the projections (11, 125) or the like. According to the second aspect of the invention, fulcrum portions (128) are formed on the projection (125) for pivotting the outer periphery of the diaphragm spring (114) while the clutch is being engaged so as to prevent the entire compression of the damper member (127) and as to precise the positioning of distance (L2) between the fulcrums (P1) and (P2).

    Abstract: A pull-type clutch including a pressing force transmission lever, an inner peripheral end of which is in contact with a retainer connected to a release bearing, and an approximately annular adjusting ring for adjusting clearances produced by wear of the clutch facing and which is in contact with a radial outside end of the lever and screwed into an inner peripheral surface of the clutch cover. An adjuster is provided on an inner surface side of the adjusting ring and causes the adjusting ring to rotate by means of rotation of the adjuster so that the adjusting ring can move axially toward a pressure side. A rotation drive is provided which is driven by the retainer moved in the clutch axial direction by clutch engaging and releasing operations, when the clutch facings are worn, so as to adjust the adjuster.

The ring escape grooves have depth which permits axially relative movement between the lever plate and the extension when the connecting ring is accommodated therein. The fitting portions are adapted to fit to the connecting ring at radially opposite directions and axially opposite directions.

    Abstract: A clutch disc including a disc-like annular facing members arrange to front on each other and a cushioning plate corrugated in circumferential direction. Stiffening plates which are disc-like annular bodies having inside and outside diameters approximately identical with those of facing members and on which slotted holes extending nearly in radial direction are made at plural places in circumferential direction, are glued to fronting surfaces of the facing members. The cushioning plate is disposed between the fronting stiffening plates to make convex portions on its both surfaces contact with portions located between the slotted holes of the stiffening plates, and is fastened by rivets to the contacting portions.

Since there is no clearance between secured portions of the coned disc spring and projecting portions of the clutch cover, the coned disc spring can be prevented from emitting abnormal sound due to its axial or circumferential vibration.
