  • Patent number: 10422269
Abstract: A cooling device for an internal combustion engine includes a pump portion, a circulation water passage, a thermostat configured to switch between a state where the coolant is circulated to a heat exchange water passage on which a radiator is disposed and a state where the coolant is not circulated to the heat exchange water passage, and a control unit configured to control the pump portion. The control unit is configured to control a three-way valve such that a first pump and a second pump are connected in parallel when the thermostat switches to the state where the coolant is circulated to the heat exchange water passage and controls the three-way valve such that the first pump and the second pump are connected in series when the thermostat switches to the state where the coolant is not circulated to the heat exchange water passage.

  • Publication number: 20140014286
Abstract: A die-casting die capable of obtaining stable, high-quality die-casting products by reducing clogging is disclosed. The die-casting die for casting die-casting products by pressure filling molten metal into a cavity, comprises a fixed die; a moving die for forming a cavity at contacting surfaces of the fixed die and the moving die, the moving die being capable of approaching and separating from the fixed die; an overflow formed on at least either the fixed die or the moving die to communicate through an overflow gate with the cavity; a porous gas-permeable member, through which gas can pass without allowing molten metal in the overflow to pass, disposed on at least either the fixed die or the moving die so as to communicate with the overflow; and an exhaust path, one end of which communicates with the surface on the side of the gas-permeable member opposite that of the overflow, and the other end of which communicates with the outside of the fixed die or the moving die.

  • Patent number: 8162794
Abstract: A rotation/linear motion conversion mechanism provided with an annular shaft, a sun shaft arranged inside the annular shaft, planetary shafts arranged around the sun shaft, and a first gear mechanism and a second gear mechanism, which transmit force between the annular shaft and the planetary shafts. Each planetary shaft includes a first planetary gear, which configures part of the first gear mechanism, and a second gear, which configures part of the second gear mechanism. The planetary shaft is configured to permit relative rotation between the first planetary gear and the second planetary gear.

  • Patent number: 7665437
Abstract: In a cam journal (12A) in which a timing-advance oil passage (12a) and a timing-retard oil passage (12b) are provided as a first oil passage for VVT, an oil passage (102c) for HLA is provided as the second oil passage. The timing-advance oil passage (12a) and the timing-retard oil passage (12b), which are formed on the surface of the intake camshaft (12), are separated from the oil passage (102c) for HLA by a lower cam bearing (202). Thus, it is possible to provide the control oil passages for VVT and the oil supply passage for HLA in one cam journal (12A).

  • Patent number: 7614373
Abstract: The inner surface of an oil passage in a member which is made as a die-cast formed product is made as a molded surface. By this structure, permeation of oil from the inner surface of the oil passage into the thickness portion of the member which is made as a die-cast formed product, and leakage thereof out to the exterior, is prevented.
