  • Patent number: 9158186
Abstract: A projection display device is provided with a main body cabinet; a projection port which is formed in the main body cabinet to guide modulated light to an outside of the projection display device; an air outlet which is formed at least in one of two surfaces of the main body cabinet facing each other across the projection port; and an exhaust unit which discharges, to the outside, air that has been warmed by heat exchange with a member to be cooled which is disposed in the main body cabinet through the air outlet. In this arrangement, the exhaust unit includes an exhaust fan, and a deflection member which deflects air discharged from the exhaust fan in a direction away from the projection plane.

  • Publication number: 20120099087
Abstract: A projection display device includes an opening formed in a main body cabinet; a part to be attached in the main body cabinet through the opening; a cover which covers the opening; a detector which detects closure of the cover; and a first contact part and a second contact part which contact each other when the cover is being closed, thereby to prevent the cover from being closed up to a position where the closure is detected by the detector. When the part to be attached is not attached, the first contact part is positioned on a line contacting the second contact part at closure of the cover and is capable of evacuating to a position out of the line. The projection display device further includes an evacuation part to evacuate the first contact part to the position out of the line when the part to be attached is attached.

  • Patent number: 7165848
Abstract: A doughnut-shaped dust-proof plate is externally fitted in the body of the projection lens. The dust-proof plate comprises a first member which is flexible like rubber and a second member made of plastic which is uneasy to deform. The second member is made lower in a vertical direction (lengthwise) than the first member, thereby making it possible to allow deformation at an upper end and a lower end of the first member. On the other hand, the second member is made long in a horizontal direction (crosswise). A longitudinal portion of the second member is set to have such a length that it can come into contact with an upper or lower wall of the frame of the liquid crystal projector even if the projection lens is positioned at the lowermost or uppermost position, respectively.

  • Patent number: 7055971
Abstract: When an attempt to move a projection lens in a horizontal direction (crosswise) in a state where it is positioned on the upper or lower side is made, it can be moved in the horizontal direction (crosswise) up to a certain range. However, a movement restraining convex area in a vertical movable base finally comes into contact with the corner inclined at an angle of 45 degrees in a fixed base. After this contact, movement in a leftward or rightward direction and an upward or downward direction which are limited directions is limited. Even if a dial and a dial are rotated in the limited directions under the limitation of the movement, they are slipped, thereby making it possible to prevent a force from being forcedly applied to a driving mechanism.

  • Patent number: 7029123
Abstract: A projector device adapted to project an image-forming beam using a lamp as a light source. The lamp is installed within a rectangular parallelepipedal housing, and an exhaust fan is disposed to the rear of the lamp. The top wall of the housing surrounding the lamp is given an opening pattern asymmetric about the optical axis of the lamp by forming an air inlet opening in a position deviated from the optical axis toward a direction orthogonal to the axis for producing a swirling air current within the housing by operating the exhaust fan. The lamp can be effectively cooled with reduced quantities of air.
