  • Patent number: 5569524
Abstract: A laminated sheet suitable for high-frequency welding comprises a vinylidene fluoride resin layer (A), a bonding layer (B) consisting of a blend of vinylidene fluoride resin and a copolymer resin consisting of methyl methacrylate and alkyl ester of acrylate, whose alkyl group has 3-5 carbon atoms, a base-material layer (C) of vinyl chloride resin bonded to the bonding layer (B), and a base-cloth layer (D) bonded to the base-material layer (C). A bonded laminated sheet obtained by bonding two laminated sheets with high-frequency welding and the application of the bonded laminated sheet to tents are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4459544
Abstract: An actual ignition timing detecting device for use with a simultaneous ignition engine in which two cylinders are actually ignited in an alternate manner by simultaneously applying an ignition pulses generated in inverse polarities between the two terminals of an ignition coil. The actual ignition timing of the two cylinders can be detected from the rise and fall of a pulse signal, which rises at the misfire timing and falls at the actual ignition timing, by detecting the ignition pulses of one of the cylinders and by forming that pulse signal at all times in accordance with the difference in waveform between the actual ignition and misfire pulses of the ignition pulses detected.

  • Patent number: 4237233
Abstract: In cultivation of the Basidiomycetes under aeration and agitation in an aqueous liquid medium containing saccharide as a carbon source and yeast extract, peptone, casamino acid and/or meat extract as nutrient, the initial charge of the medium is adjusted such that it is less than about 70% of the capacity of the fermentor used, and the medium or at least one component thereof is supplied additionally in portions as cultivation advances. Such control of the medium feed suppresses excessive foaming which occurs in the aqueous medium during cultivation, and allows smooth and efficient cultivation of the Basidiomycetes.

  • Patent number: 4159225
Abstract: When a dikaryotic mycelium of Coriolus versicolor (Fr.) Quel. (a species of fungi belonging to the genus Coriolus of Polyporaceae) is subjected to a mechanical treatment such as grinding or shearing in a liquid medium, or when such mycelium is subjected to submerged culture while undergoing mechanical treatment, there is produced a monokaryotic mycelium which is different from the dikaryotic mycelium in morphological and physiological characteristics. The thus obtained monokaryotic mycelium is a novel product and characterized by its extremely high propagation rate as compared with the known dikaryotic mycelium. Also, the substance extracted from the culture of the mycelium has excellent physiological activities.

  • Patent number: 4140578
Abstract: A fungus belonging to genus Coriolus of the class Basidiomycetes is subjected to submerged culture in a liquid medium and the obtained culture is dried and extracted with an aqueous solvent, and then the substances with molecular weights of less than 5,000 are eliminated from the extract solution, whereby a polysaccharide having anti-cancer and other pharmacodynamic effects is obtained in a high yield.

  • Patent number: 3991169
Abstract: A porous carbon sheet having excellent physical properties is obtained by dispersing oxidized pitch fibers in a liquid containing at least one wetting agent having at least one hydroxyl group and a boiling point of not less than 150.degree. C, subsequently shaping the resultant dispersion in the form of a sheet, heating the sheet thus obtained at temperatures in the range of from 50 to 300.degree. C and thereafter, carbonizing the sheet in a nonoxidizing atmosphere. The oxidized pitch fibers contain 45 - 90% by weight of nitrobenzene insolubles and 55 - 90% by weight of fixed carbon and will not flow through a nozzle of 1 mm in diameter under a load of 10 Kg/cm.sup.2 at temperatures of not more than 300.degree. C. The pitch fiber has a diameter in the range of 5 to 100 .mu. and a fiber length/fiber diameter ratio of not less than 2.
